Hello Evga and Users,
I recently build a new system and it has been giving me some wierd issues,
i wanted to overclock the cpu and gpu but i first wanted to have this system stable.
Everytime i run a game i get wierd fps drops combined with gpu load drop, i tried multiple games from old to new, but i have no clue anymore.
This is what i have tried:
- Upgrade and downgrade drivers
- Running multiple benchmark to see if it was still there

I would love to see some of your toughts!

Thanks in Advance!

Tells us a little more about the rest of your system and what game settings you are using as well. Cpu, motherboard, ram and powersupply, include any background programs thay may be running also. Hopefully we can help you get back to 99% usage.

Re: Nvidia GTX750Ti FTW ACX Wierd Gpu load drop results in major fps drop 2015/03/27 13:28:32 (permalink)
Most of it should be in that image i provided, i tried for example bf4 LoL Grid TheCrew SCII HOTS,
with the settings from low to high, the avg cpu load is always somewhere around 50%, since i have this system now for a week there is almost nothing on it just the drivers and basic software like winrar slype etc etc.

My guesses:
- Maybe the driver is crashing? something that puts it in idle mode? i tried the most recent ones and a couple legacy ones from nvidia same results sadly enough.
- Maybe the amd 8350 cpu isnt fully compatible with this card and causes issues?

Re: Nvidia GTX750Ti FTW ACX Wierd Gpu load drop results in major fps drop 2015/03/27 14:15:59 (permalink)
some more detailed info:
- Heroes of the storm  running 130fps on max settings drops every 30seconds to 20-3 fps
- League of legends running 210fps on max settings drops every 30 seconds to 50-40fps
- Farcry 4 running 70fps on High drops every 60sec to 30fps

While it drops you see the Gpu core speed dropping from 1333Mhz to 400 or lower like its doing nothing or it crashes at this moment.

Just tried more drivers:
-341.44
-345.20
same issues occur

btw my psu is a 550w from xfx

The psu shouldn't be an issue, and I wouldn't think the 8350 would be either.

Right click, Nvidia control panel, settings, and put performance mode to "prefer maximum performance" and see what that does for you, or see if it continues to happen.

mmm just found this , however i dont see my vcore voltage dropping,
could it still be my motherboard?

Same cpu can almost the same card.  however my mobo is from a newer series its still a cheap one.

and does everything from a game pass trough the cpu to the gpu?

this screenshot is after running a couple games.

Have y'all tried clean gpu driver install, old school clean gpu driver install, and if ur  OS updated and motherboard drivers updated/clean installs, double ,check ur nic/wifi drivers, and do y'all make sure y'all didn't install Nvidia Experience driver? And is ur ssd/hdd optimized?

I think the card might be throttling. Its dipping at 56W, default in bios is 52W. I adjusted the power target and raised the tdp. FPS are stable @ 75W and no perfcap reason in gpu-z. stop back by at OCN brah and we might be able to help.

You are almost certainly correct, thus the VOp PerfCap..Default in the stock VBIOS is 52W max..I have a VBIOS for him which raises that..Working with him on flashing it..Will let you know how it works out, should be good.

If you guys need help, let me know. I have a 100W TDP bios, that uses 1.2v when using 3d apps, gaming benchmarking, etc. I've tested it @ 1437/6900Mhz for a couple of weeks, so I know its stable. Let me know....

I'd be glad to help. Let me know what core and mem freqs you want. I have custom bios from 1398/6900Mhz-1437/6900Mhz @ 1.2 3d, .955mV 2d, 100W TDP(if you have a 6-pin, 75W TDP otherwise), 75W PCI-E, and 76W power target(to get rid of perfcap reason). If you pm me your original bios I can edit it with maxwell II bios tweaker 1.36 and copy my settings to your bios. then you can flash it with nvflash. Shoot me an email when you get everything installed or find me @ OCN in the 750/750TI club thread, and I can hook you up with a game stable bios. Maybe 1398Mhz first, just to be safe. My card gets unstable with anything past 1437, unless I drop the memory overclock to 6600Mhz, but can handle anything in between 1398-1437Mhz.

Carnage specs:
Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX X299-E GAMING | Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-7820x | Memory Channels#1 and #3: Corsair Vengeance RGB 4x8GB DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz | Memory Channels#2 and #4: Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 4x8GB DDR4 DRAM 3200 MHz | GPU: eVGA 1080 TI FTW3 Hybrid | PhysX: eVGA 1070 SC2 | SSD#1: Samsung 960 EVO 256GB m.2 nVME(Windows/boot) | SSD#2&3: OCZ TRION 150 480GB SATAx2(RAID0-Games) | SSD#4: ADATA Premier SP550 480GB SATA(Storage) | CPU Cooler: Thermaltake Water 3.0 RGB 360mm AIO LCS | Case: Thermaltake X31 RGB | Power Supply: Thermaltake Toughpower DPS G RGB 1000W Titanium | Keyboard: Razer Ornato Chroma | Mouse: Razer DeathAdder Elite Chroma | Mousepad: Razer Firefly Chroma | Operating System#1: Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate X64 | Operating System#2: Linux Mint 18.2 Sonya (3DS Homebrew/Build Environment)

stock bios?
This is from my custom bios I just finished editing:

Stock bios could be causing throttling. Let me know if you want a custom bios with "safe oc" settings and pm the original bios. Let me know...
