Hi,
I have an ASUS HM81K motherboard and an EVGA GTX 760 card.
Without the EVGA card, the system works without any issues. The weird stuff comes after I put this card inside. I connect the power supply connectors to the card and then the following happends:
When I turn on the machine the first time, everything works. However, turning the machine off and on, and the machine simply won't power up (it powers up for half a second and immediately powers down. I can make the machine power up if I press the power button for few seconds, and even then sometimes it doesn't).
The only way to get a first time full power on and boot - is by disconnecting the power plug from the machine, wait till the motherboard really powered off (takes about 10 seconds), connect the power cord, and power on the machine - then it works again until I shut down the machine, and the next time I power it on - the issue is coming back again.
I thought it was an issue of the PSU (although it's a 550W machine and this machine has only i7-4790 CPU, 2 hard disks and a DVD-ROM, nothing that will get some load on the PSU), so I replaced the PSU with a new 750W Corsair PSU and .. the problem comes again.
ASUS support claims nothing is wrong with this motherboard, and I looked in the UEFI menu, I didn't find any special settings to eliminate this issue.
Any suggestion?
Thanks
