And what is conclusion... how much memory need someone who think to choose next card with more than 6GB video memory...
16 or 32GB... That 260 vs 400e in Europe if we look GSkill.

I have one or 2 more tests run to try tonight but so far I see no difference in performance from having 16GB or 32GB I have now.

If you want to be ultra future proof. 32gb. Otherwise, 16gb will be "fine" for a 6gb/8gb card.

That is ultra good news for those among us who have 16gb!

It's possible there's something out there or comes out in the future that changes things but the only difference I see is windows uses more RAM because it has more to pull from, the VRAM usage seems identical but that doesn't seem to improve performance. I am going to pull 16 GB out tonight and do a few more comparisons but I'm going to keep all 32, it is only DDR3 and wasn't pricey. (compared to already buying a Titan X SC :P )

componenty
what is the vram usage  (watch dogs) at 3840x2160 MSAA 8x ,everything ultra   ,,,,,?
vram usage (cod AW) at 3840x2160 16x MSAA, everything ultra ,,,,,,,?
i still do not have the titan x,but i can feel the  two games above with there setting can easily hit
8-9gb vram,
i knew one thing,,,,, the gtx 980 ti must be 8gb, because 6gb are not enough (ultra setting) even on full hd maybe.
and the best gaming card now  is titan x,even if the card need 24gb-64gb of ram.

The 980 ti is not going to happen. At least not with 8GB, that's for sure.

Even my idle temps are awesome atm. still adjust though.

Appreciate the graph mate, thanks alot!

Unfortunately my temps did not drop much, if at all. Your case is probably better for cooling, and it sure looks like it is from the pictures. :)

Yeah i'm happy with my temps so far.  So far everything i've been testing as stayed under 65 degrees. The only difference between my old 690 to this Titan X is obviously its way more powerful and the fan is slightly louder. But it's not so bad. Lots of games my 690 would struggle with keeping fps steady or stutter/lag because of the SLI (like watchdogs...ugh , never had a smooth experience even modded)

Honestly though, there are many reviews and complaints that the Titan X runs very very hot. The fact that you're somehow keeping it well below even my 780TI is crazy lol. Really wondering if it's your PC case that makes so much difference or something else. Hmm...

Maybe its the fact I run a 2560x1440 monitor? That would certainly lower the temps compared to a 4k.

You think so? Maybe, it's possible I guess. But I'm on a 1080p running a 780TI and I get 10+ degrees more than you, and the Titan X supposedly runs hotter so I think I'm gonna have a little trouble lol..

Well i do know that the 800D case isn't really good for air cooling BUT i have done extremely well with it even though they say otherwise. I do have the intake in the front and when i take the door off, i feel tons of air circulating over the card, especially the one pretty much below it on the separator above the power supply directly blowing air up to the titan.  My ambient temps are also around 67-70f in this room pretty much all year around.

I wonder if I should upgrade my stock fans that came with the case to the Noctuas or perhaps Cougar Vortex. Contemplating it lol. I wonder how much of a difference it would make, because tell you what, I removed the entire front and side panel of my case and the temperature did not even drop. I just don't know how to decrease it, although I think low 70's are not too horrible for me. Surely it's not going to affect the GPU's life?

This is way off topic, but people do realize they can remove old quotes and just quote the last person by highlighting and deleting old stuff, right? Lol, some of these posts are getting to be a football field long, for a 10 word response to the last quote.

Hmm, I'm very interested in this. Once I can buy [due to stock] one, I'll test it out on a 8GB quad-channel setup.

My Rig can do EpicFLOPs, Can yours?

One simple question with this system ram issue:

If your games(programs) don't exceed needing 12GB of vRam, then be it 8/12/16GB or 24GB of system Ram does not matter,
correct?

I'm asking as i need the extra fps of the Titan-X over the original Titan for VR(now--->Rift, winter-->Vive) and i won't be
gaming in higher then 1080p until late 2016 anyway, for non 3D and VR.

I highly doubt any game will ever use more then 12GB of vRam in 2400*1080p(<--Vive) or even 1440p(Rift's consumer model, if
the specs are true).

From all i read, it seems like this would only be an issue for games using over 12GB of vRam..but i wanted to double check this
before the sc'ed model are available on the site.

 TIA

Take a look here, I'm just going to test the Titan X with 16GB before I invest any money for more RAM. This guy got more RAM unfortunately :/

Backs-up Kinfet's findings so far as well. Sure did take a while to come to this conclusion though, glad I held off.

32GB would be serious hit on budget and I don't want to pay if don't need.
Few factors are here, Is it that really necessary for TITAN X performance and what NVIDIA think to do with 6GB version.
I mean 32GB 2666 will cost me 400-420, 16GB 2800 will cost me 250. That's not small difference.
