This case looks dope. I'm going to google it now and add it to my wish list. I will just need to find the energy to undo my current system.

So, it's still not finished? Still waiting for 2 GPU's?

I have the GPUs, cpu, mobo. I need fittings and tubing, as well as the mobo blocks and pump tops. I am going to have to delay the tubing and fittings until I move to the US, as the shipping will be super expensive due to the length of the packages for them. I am going to have to delay until March at the latest. I may install flexible tubing for testing at least. Will update if possible.

Re: [Build Log] Mag-numb Tee Aye-ch Tin Alpha 2015/03/28 10:17:20 (permalink)
Update: all of my stuff should be here next Friday, if shipping goes well from the delivery company. I have ordered 10 sections of 16mm hard-line tubing from monsoon at 30" each, and will be using that across two builds total. Other changes that are in progress, I am ordering three 980 K|ngp|ns to replace the three 780ti classifieds, also have a 4th 780ti classified on hand, and a bunch of LN2 items that I am ordering Tuesday as well.

I have to verify everything works before I can start building, because shippers don't care about these things, but it won't take long. I am also going to try to build a small work station in my garage for the tube bending and all of the shenanigans to come.

Just figured I would let everyone know that I didn't forget about this, but the last 3 months of moving have been frustrating as I had to wait, so I apologize for having to wait.

That isn't too awful bad on the price honestly. I am hoping everything arrives next week. The 780tis are getting moved onto the 3960x bundle and 3 980 k|ngp|ns are going on board... :-D.

My stuff is still being shipped from Korea, so that is the only delay now. I have the fittings and 25' of acrylic tubing to work with. :-D

Quite a build , don't know how I missed it. Did you end up using the RX360 rad? Your using the Corsair SP fans,, it looks like. Love those fans. Can't wait to see what you do with your build , you have all the fun parts hardware wise. Subscribed :P

Alright my friends.. I am BACK in business.. kind of.

I have tested all of the cards and will be testing the CPU block that Nateman_doo made for us.

This is where we stand today:

Just made these this morning:

Don't worry, I corrected the SLI bridge right after I took the picture.

I thought the 16mm od bitspower looked much better than the 12 mm EK:

This is where I am right now, as it sits in the dining room.

I am going to need to modify all of the cables to shorten them down a lot.  The 24 pin cable is approximately 18 inches long, and I need approximately 7 inches total... So, there will be much patience need here soon, lol.

In total, there are 19 SP120's and 5 AF120's through out the build.

That's a lot of cable to cut down. Glad to see you getting to make some progress on this. Waiting as patiently as I can to see your progress and updates.

Re: [Build Log] Mag-numb Tee Aye-ch Tin Alpha 2015/05/03 13:27:08 (permalink)
Currently working on getting the proper parts.  I have built most of the loop for the GPU's and when I went to work ont he CPU, I found that I was sent a ton (19 to be exact) of 12mm OD fittings, when I thought they were going to be 16mm OD.  I also need PETG Tubing, because the acrylic isn't helping me out at all.

I am starting to think that I should have purchased a pedestal at the same time.  I think that would have given me more freedom, and the darn wires are way way too long, so I am going to have to get them shortened as well.

Here are the photo updates.  I used soft tubing in a few places just as place holders to test the system until I can get the PETG tubing that I need and more fittings.

For the curious minds, yes, the CPU gets it's own loop.  I have to modify the block that nateman made, because it won't fit the with rigid compression fittings on the ChipSet block.  I have already modified the mount to my EK block just to see if it will work, and it did indeed.   I have not plumbed the CPU just yet.  Trying to figure out how to make it all work at this time.

The ridiculous amount of wires....

Where did you order the fittings? why did they mess it up ?

You should have got the pedestal.

Just for testing normal tubing will be good to go.
Is it a pain bending the acrylic tubes?

May be I should use acrylic tubing, it looks nice eh.
Why didn't you like the black nylon tubing more?

Didn't ASUS RVE get full mobo block where it would even cover the Cpu at the same time , I found out RIVE has that block so il be getting that for my build.
Seems interesting!!!!!

Many wires to play with 😋😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

Re: [Build Log] Mag-numb Tee Aye-ch Tin Alpha 2015/05/03 17:47:07 (permalink)
Black tubing looks bland and outright terrible in my opinion.  My first try was with black tubing and I grew to hate it quick.

Acrylic is a pain to learn.  I wanted PETG and ordered a bunch of tubing from P-PCs and was hoping it wouldn't be too bad, but I keep getting kinks and small breaks that ruin it, or the angles don't line up.

I don't want a full cover block.. they look stupid to me, and since I am here to look at it every day, I don't want to look at something I think looks stupid.

I bought the fittings on the forum.  I could have misread what was advertised, since I do it often.

Here, I made a quick video:

This is where I currently am with the build process. The system is fully functional and is currently folding overnight to see what kind of ppd we can get, and if I can get my place back on the score board.

Very nice Scarlet. Love the RGB function in the 980 blocks. It also reminded me when you were talking about temps that I need to reseat my block on my 5930k :( But anyway looking good and thank you for sharing your update.

No final pics until I can get the rigid tubing finished. I am not good at bending, so I waste a lot of tubing, and want it to be perfect for the final pics, but I will put some interim pictures up tonight and work on figuring out how to light the cpu and the pumps.

Re: [Build Log] Mag-numb Tee Aye-ch Tin Alpha 2015/07/05 23:17:52 (permalink)
I know it has been a really long time, but I decided to destroy some hours with the build today and this is where I am now.

The CPU out to Radiator is crooked, but this was the 5th or 6th try, and I decided since it mated and sealed, I was happy enough with it. I need to work on the wires now, but most of the 90 degree rotary fittings have been remove, except for the Pump inlets.  The pump sit too close to the door to get the inlets plumbed with just PETG Tubing.

I switched the Color of the CPU coolant to Pastel Orange, so this build is dedicated toward an organization that I hold dear to my heart... www.eodwarriorfoundation.org

I still have a lot left to do, but this is where I am as of today.

Thanks fellas.. just to be honest.. this is what today's floor situation looks like.. I call it "Failure" LOL!  I bought the awesome sauce Monsoon bending kit from a user here on the forums... had to eyeball everything, because it is 1000x's worse with the kit and moving around constantly.  I really need to work on the lighting in my house, lol.  I am exhausted...

More Pictures.. Better pictures:

I won't lie, the soft tubing running down the side of the power supplies is one of my favorite parts.  I still need to plumb the bottom CPU Rad to the Reservoir and install the new drain, and redo the rigid tubing from the CPU Inlet and Outlet to make them more even and lined up to match everything else.

This system is Finally in ModsRigs.  It is set as my Primary now ;-)

Cut the fat tonight and killed off the bad bend that was the CPU Outlet.

Added the EVGA Pro SLI V2 Bridge into the mix

Yumm... Sexy compared to the garbage I posted a few weeks ago.

More updates coming as I get the parts and time to install everything.

A little video to better explain the changes and plans.  (It is currently processing)
