Hello Everyone,

I have a single GTX 680 classified and I am really not a big gamer. I have an ASUS PB278Q monitor and it's really making my graphics card cry at 1440P. Should I sell this monitor and downgrade to a 1080P monitor?

Would like to hear what some people have to say. I can set it @ 1080P obviously, but everything becomes pixelated and it's not really worth it.

Well, I happen to have an ASUS VG278HE myself, and while that is only 1080p, I'm hoping that the GTX 970 FTW+ will handle well with the stereoscopic features of it without that 3.5GB+500MB fiasco getting in its way.

Although for the GTX 680, since I have the base clocked version of that card from EVGA in the rig I have now, it seems to handle quite nicely on a 1920x1200 monitor (24" Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP) with little to no issue.  1440p, while that is a 16:9 ratio instead of the 16:10 ratio, I can gather that resolution isn't too much more than the old standards.  If you settle the details to around medium-high or so, it should last a bit.

The resolution difference is a world of a difference, that's my issue with it.

Well...  I pulled the trigger on a GTX 980 SC for my new build, that should work out nicely (was only $3 more than the base 980).  Have the GTX 680 here in the rig I'm using now (which is CLEARLY showing its age since Windows 7's launch).
