A couple weeks ago I made a rather expensive purchase and bought a used Titan Z for my little MS-7778 VER: 1.0 System Board 675852-001. Before this I had the Titan with only 6gb and it worked fine.
When I first received it you could imagine my excitement, but I came out disappointed. For some reason none of the Ports would give me a display. I could however, use the onboard graphic (which I tried disabling, but no luck.) From there I tried installing the drivers with the auto detect software. It found the right card and installed the drivers, but when I checked the device list the Titan had a yellow exclamation point on it with error 43 (which I read was SUPER generic.) I also checked the BIOS to make sure Legacy was on and it was.

After many attempts, I figured it must have been the card and ended up returning it to get a different one. I bought another used one from a different person online and exhaled thinking my troubles were over. I was wrong. The same issues persist and now I am convince that it has to be something with my Rig.

For added info I did check the BIOS for updates and it seems to have the most up to date version. I am using version 80.51 Rev.A for BIOS, which is not the most recently released, but it is the highest version number, which was confusing.

CPU: A10-6700 APU with Radeon HD graphics
PSU: 1000w
MotherBoard: hp 700-210 (MS-7778 VER: 1.0 System Board 675852-001)
RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 8.1

If anyone has an ideas or comments I would love to hear them!
Thanks very much,

Kramer

I don't use SLI but they do have the option. Are you referring to how the card has multi GPUs? Do I need to have SLI enable to use the single card?

    No, not at all.
So then the problem you are having then is not an SLI issue is all.
So it is a single GPU issue then. We do need your system info as bdary above said above.

Looks like GPUZ is not reading your card, if you have to get the ver of gpuz that came out right after the TitanZ came out, You will also need to run GPUZ as administrator.
You will need to post a full system specs of your pc make and model of everything from your motherboard to your power supply.

Something tells me you bought the card to use with an HP pre-built office PC looking at your specs. Your mainboard is not suitable for this kind of hardware (it most likely doesn't have SLI support) and so isn't your CPU which would extremely bottleneck the card. The PSU you're using is probably a cheap one as well without a certification (80+ etc.) or strong constant power delivery.

So I'm pretty sure it won't work on your computer. It's not that simple to just insert a new GPU into a random PC and think it'll give you an instant FPS boost. You'd need to built a PC yourself and use quality parts in order to make sure everything works in harmony. At least an Intel Core i5 (although an i7 would be even better) should go together with such a big card like the Titan Z and an appropriate high-end mainboard from ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI etc. with 8GB or even 16GB RAM from e.g. Corsair, Crucial, Kingston and so on. I'm pretty sure the RAM you have built in is a cheap kit for an OEM PC.

I'm very sorry to say that you kind of wasted your money as you won't have fun using that card with your system. It's a high-end enthusiast card which requires a PC capable of handling all the data.

I ended up coming to this same realization. I tried to cut some corners, but clearly I need to start focusing on on some of the more important parts of the PC.

Thanks for your comment! Now I know for sure what's next on the list for upgrades!

    I stopped reading after

CPU: A10-6700 APU with Radeon HD graphics

you should have spent that money upgrading to an entirely new PC rather than getting a beefy older card. I suggest returning the card unless you're willing to spend the extra money and put whatever you spent toward a new rig with a 970 or 980 instead.

You essentially dropped a Ferrari engine into a prius.

That analogy actually made me laugh! I realize that now. I guess I wanted to know the reasoning to it. And I think that has been answered. Without the board being able to use SLI it cant use the dual GPU card.

    Thanks for the laugh man!

That CPU would bottleneck you even if the board was able to support SLI. Like I suggested you're better off putting the funds toward a new rig with an i7 4790k the z97 chipset and a 980.
