970 SLI stuttering issues

Is anyone experiencing severe stuttering when running 970 SLI in-game? I have noticed it in these games so far: dying light, far cry 4 & smite so far. I decided to test my in game performance with SLI disabled and the stuttering seemed to disappear. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this issue lately, there have already been some drivers & patches for these games with SLI support so I am hoping it isn't an issue with my current 970's.
 
PC specs:
CPU: I7 4770K (4.2 Ghz)
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 970 FTW x2 SLI
Mobo: MSI Z87-GD 65
Ram: 16 GB Hyperx
Windows 8.1

    Retest this at default CPU levels and see if the problem continues. If the problem goes away then you'll need to readjust your overclock a bit

    i have the same problems in dying light and far cry 4, i get stuttering in them its probably just usual sli drivers etc.

    Ahh thanks for that. CPU reset to stock and stutter didn't completely go away in far cry 4 / dying light, but so far with a half hour of testing seems to be a lot better now. Thanks
