Want to type the degree symbol? °

Have you ever wondered why there wasn't a degree symbol° on the keyboard.
There isn't, But
On a keyboard that has the numeric keypad hold down the Alt key and type 248.
If there isn't a numeric keypad you have to copy and paste.
On something like an ipad hold down the zero key and it pops up in blue.
I don't know why after all these years I never looked it up.
Comes in handy on a forum like EVGA.

    Maybe because a lot of us use C or F? ♪
    Can't seem to get Alt key and type 248 I get this ∟
    It works in NotePad ° only not here on the Forum.

    Maybe your numpad 4 isn't working
    Alt 248 gives °
    Alt 28 gives ∟
     
    Or it might be because of your active code page.  To find out your active code page, from the command prompt type> chcp

    You can also use alt-0176, should work independent of the system code page or language.
