Hi all-
Looking for some advice from the community on a new build i have underway.
How current is the memory guideline posted on the EVGA website? I am wondering if there are more choices than what's on that list.

I'm looking at 16gb kits (2x8) greater than 1600 -  any good recommendations on memory & proc combos with overclocking in mind ??
so far on my list are:
Z87 Classi - ordered
Full ATX case - ordered
850 superNova - ordered
i7 4790k
GTX-970 ( wanting to eventually do SLI )

TIA-

We start from that list, but that is why EVGA has the list to begin with.
All you can do is test the memory you want to use and it if dose not work ask for a refund from where you buy it from and then on the next set of memory.

    Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 2000 MHz (PC3 16000) Desktop Memory (CMX4GX3M2B2000C9)

    Corsair DOMINATOR Platinum Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 DRAM 2400MHz PC3 19200 C10 Desktop Memory Kit CMD16GX3M2A2400C10

    16GB G.Skill DDR3 PC3-21300 2666MHz TridentX CL11 (11-13-13-35) Quad Channel kit + Cooling fan

    TridentX Series - Memory - 4 x 8 GB F3-2800C12Q-32GTXDG

    Kingston Hyper X Genesis 16GB Kit (4x4GB Modules) 2133MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL11 DIMM XMP Desktop Memory

All are listed on the List. I would look at the two Bold ones above.

I recommend the G.Skill Trident X.  I have those in 2666 and they have been flawless.  Not to mention that they look awesome.
