You Know, I stated previously that I was really looking forward to some GM200 based type/form of EVGA Card, But Now after reading all the posts, I'm also somewhat getting interested in the AMD R9 380/390 upcoming offerings? I guess (at least for myself) it's going to be even harder to figure out which new Graphics Card brand/release to choose from as this Year goes on.....

since the 380 is just a 290, im really just interestes in the 390x and 980ti. With the rumored 300w usage for the 390x i am looking at the 980ti. I hope AMD makes their 390x much more effecient and put pressure on the 980ti. though the "leaked" benchmarks it seems the 980ti is higher performing.

I dunno the 380x draws 250W, run hotter than hell, and compete with cards using alot less power and generating a lot less heat. Its a midrange product now, a lower midrange but midrange and I'm really not sure about it.

I don't know only Radeon card interesting for me on market is ASUS ARES III, he is not expensive now to much, but I would rather stick with NVIDIA.

lehpron My 2 cents: I think you guys have it coming. If anyone wants to speak with their wallet, you need to stop supporting the company, not the product; otherwise your complaints come off as a bluff since the brand will have your money later anyway. None of you are ditching your "favorite brands" over this, you're not angry enough at them and still too loyal. It's pathetic; if you want to be angry at nVidia you need to prove it by ditching EVGA, but you won't, thus I don't take any complaints about prices seriously. The price of factory-overclocked GTX980 has been steadily rising in retail, I find cards going up to $800 and they barely have a 15% increase in base clock, but a 30% increase in price tag over vanilla-- and a lot of you guys just apologize for it. Yet, $1400 for 50% more performance is unreasonable? Get the hell out of here, you're lucky it isn't another $3000 card since, again, there is no competition!
+1 I waited until I could get a GTX Titan for less than 500, and I was one of the ones that actually needed it, if your playing at 1920x1080 honestly I am laughing at the gamers that got 2-3x GTX Titan or Blacks for gaming. Some yes need the vram for gaming but that number is very small. Those that need a card for 3d modeling/Cad, hair simulation, and still play games at home at the same time on the machine is a bigger market but we are not stupid and have been dealing with crashes because of the lack of those logical processing cores in the regular GeForce line since NVIDIA removed them. But yeah I have to agree with Lehpron you have brought this upon yourselves, NVIDIA will squeeze every dollar & penny out of you they can. Those of us who needed a Titan didn't cave in and buy a quadro or tesla gpu. NVIDIA's plan failed, so they where like ok lets put the logical processing cores on the gpu again, put GTX and GeForce on it, and slap a 1k price tag on it. They got peoples 1000 and 3000 dollars, while a majority of us that actually needed it still held out, while the crazy gamer with an epeen complex just had to have it... ty for making these cards over 1000 dollars for buying them... AMD would do the same thing if given the opportunity, and we cannot jump ship to amd because they do not offer cuda, PhysX tools/plugins, all the extra bells and whistles that AMD just does not have on its video cards for 3d applications and tools.

I had offer to buy Titan Black for little more GTX780Ti KPE but I didn't listen, I was loyal to company and made mistake. Never mind, I will fix mistake with Titan X and X99 motherboard. I will build my best and nicest computer in life. OK I must be fair in that time was present only Titan and distributor offer me Titan or to wait to arrive Titan Black. Because full chip is priority for me but I hurry on faster and improved GK110 with less memory. Now It would be much better 6GB. That's true if someone is loyal only to some company that will finish bad on the end and with mistake sooner or later.

AMD probably negotiate with EKWB to build special cooling for their 450W competitor of Titan X.

Now to wait for a gamer version (980ti) and not the intro pro.
