I am near Greenville... We got about 1 inch if even that. School is still in believe it or not. I'm surprised. I figured they would have called in the national guard (sarcasm)......

if it keeps drizzling here, we may get some mud puddles, so the guard is probably on alert.

I live in NC and it is very very annoying when it snows because people freak out..
This morning it started a light snow and some women was literally going 15 mph on the interstate that was completely clear...Everyone was doing 65-80(Speed limits 70)

Then they cancel school in all the surrounding areas lol...
It snowed about an inch and was completely melted by noon..

This storm has caused much havoc across the nation. More cold and snow to come. Weird stuff going on this winter. Climate change is rearing its ugly head.

It's climate change now. They couldn't justify the term global warming anymore, so it's been updated to climate change... If there's one thing for sure... There's climate change!!! Lol

They could not justify it, but 2014 was the warmest year on record. This is based on average temperature. The Earth is warming and this crazy winter is a product of that. It was always predicted that the winters would get colder, the storms bigger, the weather more wacky and the tornados and hurricanes more severe. All of that is happening. Call it global worming or climate change, it is the same thing. I see that a major scientist against this concept was just found to be taking money from the oil and fossil fuel industry. Hhhmmm. Things that make you go hhhhmmm. It's coming. I just hope it holds off until after I pass. I hate the heat.

Not confused at all. They even said smoking was not bad for you for many years, but we learn more about things as time goes on. Yes there was a mini-ice age from the mid-1800's until about 1970. These are usually known in retrospect. Yes no one knows for sure, but when there are high quantities of CO2 in the atmosphere, life takes a break. If we all think that the use of fossil fuels today does not have a price, we are falling ourselves. How are people saying that climate change is real making millions? Are the big solar energy companies paying for it? This argument could go on forever. Just like smoking and cancer, but just like that, there are real impacts for this behavior.

Good luck getting back. Many areas are dealing with this, as the number of canceled flights is extraordinary.

The climate is always changing. I'm still trying to figure out how adding a tax on 300+ million Americans is going to do anything. Did someone forget to look at how many people live in India and China alone.

Let's take 150 private jets to talk about climate change. If that alone doesn't send up a red flag nothing will.

Not sure the tax will work, but maybe we should start another thread to debate climate change, as this thread is for SNOW.

     Very creative

The problem with snow in areas of the country that get it very infrequently is the drives there forget that tailgating is a really bad idea.

Also they frail to understand that the "shinny stuff" on the road when it is near 32F is probably ICE and not water.

Then they say; the accident was not my fault, it was "black ice" I did not see it.

Trucker say if you stop hearing your tires; your on ice.

Slow down - leave lots of room - and go to Walmart and fill your cart with bread, milk & TP; cause you think you are never coming out again till spring.

Oh wait a minuet the shopping thing is what the do here when they talk about the possibility of snow.

If you think a carbon tax would solve anything, I have bridge to no where to sell you. The climate changes all the time. Some years we have more snow and other years we have less. Once in a while we get a bad ice storm instead of lots of snow.

It was you who brought up climate change and global warming in this "snow" thread.

All I know is it's snowing again, my Mustang is under cover and under 2ft of snow.
I don't think its been above 32f in a couple months now. More snow exped before the week is over.
I haven't seen this much snow in years.

I can't take it any longer ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Do you have to shovel the snow off of your roof yet?

When it does warmup in the Spring time; all that snow has to go somewhere.  Flooding may become a bigger issue for some people if it warms up too quickly.

Looks like there is more snow coming.  March, in like a Detroit Lion, out like a St Louis Lamb!

If you think a carbon tax would solve anything, I have bridge to no where to sell you. The climate changes all the time. Some years we have more snow and other years we have less. Once in a while we get a bad ice storm instead of lots of snow.

It was you who brought up climate change and global warming in this "snow" thread.

    Really??!?!?!?
