Anyone running 347.52 - WHQL driver on their GTX 580? Is it stable? I was running 344.75 before, but right now I'm in the process of reinstalling Windows 7 and wanted to check and see if that driver works well specifically with GTX 580 Classified.

I know that some of the newer drivers have issues with older cards, so if anyone can comment that would be great.

Thanks.

You should install newest driver but after that no some big reason for change constantly.
This last driver is not bad, I suppose it's good and for GTX580. If you install new o.s. logic way is newest GeForce WHQL driver.

Version 347.52 makes my 2nd graphic s card ( I'm running GTX460 SLI) temperature rise about 15 degrees higher when gaming than previous driver.
I have no idea why that would happen.

I think that I'll stick with 344.75 driver for now. I found a thread on NVIDIA Forums and people are not happy to say the least...

I have been having better luck with the older ones with GTX460's.
I went back to using 340.52.

347.52 is running fine on my 460SC. Didn't really notice any change in temps. Installed them just fine using express option in GFE.

    Playing Farcry 4
I was basically just standing in the woods when I took down the readings.

    Version 347.52
    GPU1 56°c - 82% usage
    GPU2 53°c - 80% usage

    Version 332.21
    GPU1 56°c - 98% usage
    GPU2 39°c -  6% usage

Which set up looks like a better way to run it to you?
I can't tell any difference in game play either way, both run great!
You can see with the older driver GPU2 isn't working nearly as hard or as hot.

If you're running a newer game like FarCry 4, stick with the new drivers. You can see that it takes advantage of both cards better.

Just don't get greedy and try to enable HBAO+ and DSR on a 460. I made tea between frames.

Sounds good, will do, thanks for the advice.
After playing for awhile yesterday I thought about it and it does make since.
The newer drivers are more designed for the newer games.

They still haven't fixed the glitches in Just Cause 2, though. 2 hours in, and the game becomes a disco lightshow of angry polygons.

Based on what you wrote down above for temps & usage, I'd say the newer driver gives the best performance...

The 347.52 drivers do not work well with my surround setup with sli'ed 760s . Now it seems to run OK with my sli'ed 470s on my older rig (q9550 & 780i mobo). I just switched out monitors on that one from the iZ3D 3D monitor to an Acer 24" 1920x1080 . Steam broke my 3D somehow , as I can no longer run either of my Batman Arkham titles any more . The disc versions will with older nvidia drivers (301.42 down). I have to replay some BL2 again tonite to test the drivers . Somehow the physx got switched from the 2nd 470 to CPU and gameplay suffered . I wondered why my fps dropped into the 20s while in the Dust area (good place to test phrsx) !

Well I played BL2 again last night . I still get low fps in the Dust (25-28), but sli and physx is now on second card . I'm only getting a max GPU usage at 51% (52% in Sanctuary , go figure) . Everything is at max except AF which is at 2x . I had a max CPU usage at 85% . I would think it would be  a lot higher on minimum fps . Maybe I need my 3rd card back ?
