So, I have upgraded my graphics card from a 3x sli water cooled set up to a 3x sli 970 set up.  Pain in the butt.  Everything is installed, all wires are triple checked and everything.  I can not get past post screen  for a CMOS checksun error and the post code 62.  The post code 62 has something to do with the southbridge which controls the new graphics card.  I do not have a new bios and I have read that I need a new bios to use new cards on my evga x79 ftw motherboard.  Well, since I can't get it to boot, I can not update my bios that way.  It freezes and I am unable to use the delete button to try and get new bios flashed.  Does anyone have any ideas?

How about putting one of your old GPU's back in to flash the new bios, then reinstall the new GPU's?

yah, i was thinking that except for the 3x sli watercooled part, it is a pain... suck as life.  i have a gtx 470 that I will try to put on the bottom.  I tried updating the bios a few days ago, but there was an error.  I guess I didn't think much of it at the time.

Yeah, would be really nice if you have the room to put an old card in without removing your new one's to flash the new bios...

Turn off all but one PCIe Slot, that is why they added them little switches on the Motherboard.
    EVGA X79 FTW?
Also what Bios are you using, that last one is the bomb, a great Bios that is.

So, I purchased an 8400gs slim graphics card, put it in there, and updated my bios to the new one.  Everything is working.  Thank you for all your guys' help.  PS I tried one graphics card on and it didn't work.
