I need a little advice. I preffered MSI after burner before, but it is locking up on Heaven and Valley. I used Precison X 16 and it overclocks fine with the same +MV , core and memory clocks and it works fine. However, I prefer Afterburners ability to show FPS and the CPU temps via RTSS. I cannot enable FPS monitoring in Precision, so I had to use Fraps. Still can't display my CPU temps. Can anyone help me use all those features with precision. or is it in fact RTSS causing the crashes?

Maybe you should ask this on the MSI Forum!
I know I had issue testing both on the same computer, I found it best to uninstall both and delete any profiles and then install and test one at a time.

I am asking here because I would like to use precision if I can get it to display FPS and CPU temps. I am running an EVGA GTX 980 SC 2.0 and an EVGA 1300 watt PSU.
Yes I went with the MSI X99S Gaming ACK because of the loads of features as opposed to the Calssified....
Still have the old X58 SLI Cassified in my nephews rig, but I had such good luck with the MSI Z87 GD65 gaming mobo, which my son is using now with a 4770K

Nothing is set to auto. I did get it to work after a reboot. IS cccleaner good? Will it clean out only uninstalled programs? I was hoping to get precision to show the same specs on OSD as Afterburner. BTW , card has not exceeded 39C with a waterblock and an O/C of 52 on core and 160 on mem with +37 MV. ANy advice on getting higher? Havent tried extreme yet and my 5930K is only running 4Ghz with OC genie. Researching overclocking Haswell-E now.

Ccleaner will clean registry errors. My advice would uninstall both AB and precision. Not sure what you  mean by reading the same, There sensor algorithm/ and reporting rates might be different.
    1:uninstall both through control panel.
2:Run CCleaner --> registry tab--> Scan for issues --> fix all issues --> Backup registry ( JUST IN CASE)
    3:Restart after Cleaning
4:Download both, run EVGA first... Restart computer.
5:Run MSI afterburner. i would restart again.....
DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE THIS WILL BREAK YOUR SYSTEM IF NOT PERFORMED RIGHT.. RECOMMEND SETTING A RESTORE POINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If running win7 go to globe/start menu. type in the bottom "regedit" hit enter
    you will see five choices
    expand as follow
Afterburner and percisionX16 should be gone.. After running CCleaner
    1: HKEY_CURRENT_USER--> Software--> MSI--> Afterburner ONLY!!!!! delete Afterburner
and any EVGA folder. right click on HKEY_CURRENT_ USER select collapse This return the column to normal
2: Next go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE--> Software--> Delete any EVGA
If their are entries to MSI or evga.
As for Overclocking look up your motherboard that is where i would start.
Hope this helps if still having issues :-)
