I have a 690GTX on a Triple Monitor setup as it has three DVI ports.

What is the recommended method of setting up one of these cards to run a triple monitor setup.

It does not look straight forward to connect three monitors.

EVGA's GTX 980s have three DisplayPort outputs, one HDMI, and one DVI.
If your monitors only support DVI, you can buy DisplayPort to DVI adapter cables.
Monoprice has this cable for $7, and cheaper adapters are available elsewhere.

If you have the three monitors connected and try setting them in Surround Mode, you will be given a diagram of options available to connect the three monitors.

It might be two DVIs and one Display port, or some might include an HDMI and DVI and something else.
