Just bought a refurb P55 board. My MSI board crashed for some reason so I purchased this board off ebay. Core i3 first gen 8 gigs DDR3 1333 duel channel and ATI 5650 card. Turned it on and nothing. It powers on but no pic on my screen. Tried 4 gigs in slot 2 (second slot from cpu ) per the manual when the 8 gigs didnt do anything. The ram is brand new from new egg 1.5v 1333mhz. This isnt my first build but my first EVGA board. Hoping some one out there can help me. Thanx in advance for your relies

Welcome to the forums, for us to help figure things out we will need more info.
Which P55 mobo are you using(model#)?
What size and model# of the new ram?
When you said , crashed for some reason, could you better explain in more detail.(MSI board)
If your psu failed it might have taken out other parts with it .Will need model # of old PSU than too.

Use the first memory slot next to CPU with only only one ram stick, then the other ( in the same slot) to see if it boots.
Since you bought it reman. from Ebay the default settings in the bios may be set wrong.
May have to pull battery out( 10-15 min.) to clear, then retest.
How do you know that the old memory is bad? Did you test each ram with memtest to check for errors?

The board is probably in dire need of a BIOS flash also to support specific cpu's.... Tough situation to flash when you can't get into Bios to begin with ?

does the cmos have a jumper to swap or just remove the battery? My old MSI had a jumper I could swap back then back again but I see 4 or 5 jumpers on this board.

That is a little hard with a lemon

Did you review the approved Memory from this list: http://www.evga.com/support/motherboard/legacy/

I do see this Team Memory on the list: TXD36144M2000HC7TC 2GB

Odd that the Second Slot is really DIMM Slot 1.

And of course my ram isnt on the list. Didnt know these boards were that picky. Im using regular dual channel 1333 by team elite. 1.5 volt. Im gonna buy some ram listed on the chart you provided me with and see. By the time im done im gonna have 300 bucks wrapped up in this build. Could of bought a running system delivered from ebay for that.:(
