Hi everybody, I just want to share my experience with my new EVGA 750 G2. It makes NO sound at all! No buzzing whatsoever, the PSU is completely silent. So here we go, I knew there must be such PSU! I'm pretty happy. And I know why it is like this, after examination I found out that the transformer wire is braided! I'm sure this helps reduce possible resonance between windings. The corsair and Seasonic had both non-braided thick wires... Of course braided wire is more expensive but EVGA did not save up on this.

With ECO mode, the PSU is dead silent, without ECO, well, it's not the most quiet because the fan spins at max RPM - Well I'm not sure but I think there is no step between OFF an MAX because when I switch eco mode off it will start spinning pretty loud, but I don't care so much because if my PC consumes more than 300 or 400W I can hear all my fans anyway. 99% of the time the fan is off and this is what I looked for...

So I want thank to bcavnaugh and Vlada011 who tried it for me and said there is no buzz. There isn't indeed!

I'm going to register for EVGA's 10 years outstanding warranty and start to enjoy the PSU :)

I just thought to ask you but than think I don't want to bring you bad luck?
Eco Mode is very good option on 750 and 850 G2 models, I told you.
One guy after his CORSAIR die bought Super Flower 750W and fan on his PSU make grinding noise and retailer back him money and he bought EVGA 850 G2. People tell him you bought same PSU, he say Yes but on EVGA fan is silent.
Eco Mode is little advantage for 750/850G2 over 1000/1300/1600 G2.
On 750 G2 is normal to fan work except in idle. If someone want completely silence and fanless operation after load should bought at least 300-400W more. You can leave on Eco Mode freely. Good luck, enjoy in new PSU.

Yes, I think I had pretty bad luck with corsairs snd seasonic, but maybe it was not a bad luck but the way how their PSU works... So you want to say that > 1000W G2s don't have zero fan rpm mode??? I'm running only a single GPU so my system consumptium is max. 300W so I have a nice headroom with 750W PSU. To be honest I haven't had fans running yet :) I don't mind fans on during load but in idle I want to have a complete silence. Needless to say that build quality of this PSU is outstanding. That gray mate finish is really nice to touch :)
