I have recently began building my first pc.
The parts I have are reused from a friend of mines so basically hand me down.
I have 4GB Ram
Nvidia GeForce 295 GTX GPU
Forgive me if my description is sketchy but I'm really a noob.
THe issue I am having is that when I first put everything together the only issue I was having was with the original GPU for some reason The Evga Geforce 295 GTX would not install drivers to my build so I decided to purchase another one via ebay after several troubleshooting options.
Once I recieved my new GPU I threw out the old one stupid yes I know even before I tested the new one.
Now that I have the new GPU the computer will power on but won't recognize on screen and also makes the beep noise as if things are not connected right. Unfortunately I don't have another build to test the gpu on which kind of leaves me to guess. Ive been through many forums trying to figure this out but to no avail. Can anyone please help me and if you live in the Sacramento CA area face to face encounter would definitely be beneficial as well.

    Mobo: Evga nForce 680i SLI
    Ram: OCZ tech PC2 8500 1GB x4
    PSU: Thermaltake TR2-430NP
    CPU:Intel ?
    GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX295
I can't see the screen so I can't give you the CPU unfortunately and I don't want to wipe off the thermal paste on the chip already :(

Listen carefully and you'll hear the 1 long and 2 short beeps from the motherboard at the 0:49 mark in your video, that means a video error..It's also stopping on POST code 7F.."If you do not have video and are getting these POST codes, it would most likely be that the video card in your system is not functioning" (link)..The video card is probably bad..Best thing would be to test your video card in another system if you can or take it to your local PC repair shop and have them test it..Or, put a known good compatible video card in your system and see if it works..Determine if that video card is good/bad first..If it's bad, don't throw it away, maybe it can be fixed using the "oven trick" (will explain more about that later if it's bad).

A GTX 295 needs a minimum of a 680 watt PSU. The Thermaltake TR2-430 is only a 430 watt PSU:

Ha!..The last time I drank Tequila was when I was in the Navy years ago and went to Tijuana and couldn't find my way back to San Diego again for a few hours or so..LOL..Never again!

But back on topic..Yes thenewkid1022, get a more powerful PSU with the proper PCIe connectors, pretty much guaranteed that's the problem..You can use the Outervision PSU Calculator (link) to get a general idea of your system wattage requirement but EVGA recommends at least a 680W unit with 46A on the +12V rail (link)..A GTX 295 is almost a 300W beast (link) which is almost 25A @12V just by itself..Many people, including me, prefer single 12V rail units = more oomph and less things to go wrong.
