That was some fantastic stuff on the link.  Thanks.  We have come a long way with technology in 30 years.  I will miss Radio Shack also, as even Game Stop will not be able to save it.

GameStop will probably suffer the same fate as Blockbuster!

Maybe, but given that they can expand rather inexpensively through getting a below market price for these Radio Shack stores (and the name), they have a better chance than Blockbuster who expanded through debt and leveraged their future to gain market share.

Gamestop isn't the only one trying to buy RadioShack stores.

Even Amazon is considering buying some RadioShack stores, so they can show case their hardware.

I am sure there will be many who will want these locations but not sure there are many who can make them work. Sprint, bad idea. Amazon does need locations, as their business model has been breed through not needing them and I highly doubt they do or will need them. Those two are suitors just through media perspectives and not reality. It is probably a bad idea for Game Stop but it is more conceivable in their business model.

My first circuit board and soldier iron was from Radio Shack, such a shame they couldn't rethink/restructure the Radio Shack, get back to their roots, fond memories pasted.
