this comes with it right? So Why cant you guys make this to plug right into the PSU instead of having to use the cable and this adaptor??? I want to run without the 24pin cable. the psu will always be on. Can I make my own jumper at the PSU? or will that not work for some reason?

yea these PSU's are impressive for sure, will definately get one when I get a chance, my Corsair TX 750w is getting dated, and warranty is already up on it anyway.

Good idea, we can look into that.

perfect! thanks Jacob. that would be a winner even if we have to pay for it as a separate accessory.

if evga is offering a 10 year warranty I plan to keep it that long so I really should get a platinum unit....

I ordered an 850 to replace my old PCP&C 750W Silencer from Amazon the other day.  I've been wanting a modular power supply for years and the price and performance of this made it an easy choice to finally update my PSU.

There is 0 performance difference between platinum and gold beyond MAYBE a percentage point or 2 in efficiency. WHat really matters is voltage regulation and ripple suppression. In that respect you cannot do any better than Leadex or KM3 based platforms whether it be GOLD or PLATINUM rated.

I just finished installing the SuperNOVA 850 G2 I ordered last week, man it's nice to only have the cables in the case that I need.  Another plus was that many of the leads were thinner than my old PCP&C 750 Silencer so the backside of my case doesn't bulge as much with all the leads hidden back there.

I still curse ASUS for their lousy placement of the header for the CPU lead, it's in the top-left corner so it's a very, very tight squeeze between that top corner of the case and any heatsink of decent size.

its the same problem with memory modules and cpu heatsink too, I bought the same aftermarket cooler for both my evga board and asus board system, it fit my evga board without blocking any memory slots but blocks the first memory slot on my asus board.

They Really need to move the CPU socket as far away from the memory modules as possible on boards and many brands still fail to do that.

Any chance the 850G2 will be in stock this upcoming week in EU? I would like to order it directly from evga along with the other hardware in my cart.

Its a fantastic and underrated PSU. A few hot box tests online have shown it to be stable to about 1000w loads keeping regulation and ripple in spec. just like the KM3 competitor. Such a great price too as Ive seen these in the $130 range now. May be the best bang for the buck now since it looks like XFX may be discontinuing the Black Edition KM3 lineup sadly.

Just ordered myself the 750 G2, to replace my 5 year old Corsair PSU. I hope this beast will leave me pleased with its insane 10 year warranty. I know EVGA has my back, love this company and its support.

I just bought the 850w G2 from USA to Australia and it works fine. The difference is is that it ships with a USA 3 pin Power supply cable so I just used my spare Australian 3 pin power cable which works perfect. Its because the input voltage is 100-240v at 50/60hz which means it will basically work anywhere with the right 3 pin power cable of your country. USA 100v and Australia 240v.

Been reading up on reviews on newegg. I just got this 750 and sent in a rebate "cut up my pretty box for this". Is it true the rebates are fake and will not receive my 15 dollar check?

Purchased my 850 G2 on 5/11 from Newegg.  Mailed the rebate late that week and received my 'rebate has been processed' notification email today.  The rebates are real.  Wish the days of MIR's were over, but, hey, this 850 was 109.99 after rebate.  Fantastic Deal.  Big fan of EVGA and XFX products, they both use solid PSU manufacturers.  It's an utterly silent, rock solid modular tank!  My only complaint is the length as it prevents me from a bottom 120mm fan fin my Define R4 case.  At this point however, I'm only using the front and rear 120's that came with the case and all is cool and silent.(MSI GD65 MB, i5-4670k, GSkill RAM, Samsung EVO SSD, XFX R9 290, Fractal Define R4.)

Hi,

I would like to buy the EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2 power supply, do you have any estimation when it will be available in the EU EVGA online store?

Thank you!

I'm thinking about retiring my trusty out of warranty 6.5 year old Corsair VX550 as any GPU upgrade I make from now on would require 600W or more anyway (right now I have an EVGA GTX 760 SC ACX 2GB) and due to its age efficiency must already be hitting rock bottom.

I'm just waiting for EVGA to get all their PSUs back in stock here in Europe. The 850 G2 looks REALLY nice, ECO Mode must be amazing and that wattage and 10 year warranty should have me covered for another 6+ years (I don't plan to SLI/CF as I don't think it's worth the hassle).

Only if bought from an authorized reseller: http://www.evga.com/products/wheretobuy.aspx?t=Online

If not, the second user warranty kicks in I believe.
