okay so, many many issues. and one not issue.

so I have a nifty 660ti (02G-P4-3660-KR) and i want 3 monitors. first issue, the 3rd is a tv, and i want to dump games to it by itself (no surround here, nosirrie.)

so, i hear tell in order to do 3d you need an active DP dongle to allow the tv to do this (or passive if dvi). so i got one. doesn't even twitch.

hdmi port even in 2d shows the tv, i can change settings, but my tv complains about unsupported signal.

if i then plug said hdmi cable into a dvi -> hdmi adapter and swap with either of my dvi cables, instant picture on my tv. no fuss, no muss.

i do not wish to have to keep swapping dvi stuff around to play games on my 42" >_<

oh, and dual monitors works perfectly; within the usual tolerances of perfect for such things.

hdmi port; no picture, unsupported signal, sees tv.
displayport; nothing at all.
dvi with adapter; perfect picture.
