I just bought 2 980s for evolve and I am currently hitting the VRAM cap right around 4050 with ultra settings. I play at 1440p kinda bumming me out. Even if I set the settings to high, I still am going over 4g vram

Actually that tells me something is not right with your computer.  I have 2 970s and their GPU usage is always above 90%, average of 95%; and have an average FPS of 175-225.  Are you using the latest drivers?  Because something is wrong, and it's not the game; it's working fine for me.

Yes, IT IS THE GAME. It is the single player portion of the game.

The only setting that I turn off is AA and it never goes over the VRAM cap for me on my 980 at 1440p.

Running between 40 and 50 FPS on ultra settings is NOT my idea of running great...

Utterly boring game. Maybe fun for people who love multiplayer/ALWAYS play MP. I dont.
 
I developed headache from ALL OVER THE PLACE sounds that are in this game. You dont even know what is happening. Just keep shooting.
 
Shame that these people were trying to sell this game through the masterpiece, that it was, Left4Dead. Funny that I didn't knew they developed it. All I knew, it was from Valve.

Yea, I hit 4050 vram even at high settings and no aa @1440p. Everytime I turn AA off through the game, I go back to the video settings, and the game automatically sets it to SMAA 1x. I turned AA off through the nvidia control panel, so hoping this overrides the game settings. I know the 980 has 4096 memory, but I am getting really close and it is making me nervous. I guess ill have to just keep tweaking with the settings. I just bought the 980s, and hopefully it is just the game because I thought I was future proofing by buying 2 980s with 4gb ram at 1440p. Maybe I should have waited for the 8gb card

I've been watching the forums on Turtle Rock and it seem that they need to go into FULL DAMAGE CONTROL!  A lot of gamers are losing there levels, awards, etc. and are being reset to Level 1.  now, today many members have dropped the R bomb!  REFUND!!!

I guess I'm still not getting why everyone is upset about the DLC.  I just looked yesterday and all of the DLC is SKINS and OUTFITS at this point.  We're not talking about additional maps, improved weapons, or new hunters or monsters, but rather outfits that you can only see during the opening cutscene.
 
Looking at the majority of the negative steam reviews, most of them are based on the fact that Evolve has a large amount of day one DLC.  If you don't like the game that's fine, but to review it negatively solely on the fact that there are additional outfits and skins that are available for purchase is absurd. 
 
For me, I would be more upset if I had preordered the season pass to find out that it is only skins and outfits (but then again that's why I never preorder a season pass).

Yeah, they have one monster that comes with the monster edition... That is it though. I think they are going to sell it for 15 bucks later on... Honestly, everything else are skins... I don't understand all the complaining either. The game is pretty fun for price I bought it at, 45 bucks. There is plenty of content as well, which was my initial concern because of it being a primarily online game, but the SP is actually quite fun as well.

My "very fair and straight forward review"?. Time wasting, rambling idiot.

I think this game is actually quite a bit of fun. I'm 40 hours in and not bored with it, but it is a bit repetitive. It needs more content to as it as said in the video review. I didn't pay $60, and neither should you.
 
I was also mad about the "day one DLC," but when you consider they're just skins, it really doesn't matter. They're ugly skins too for the most part. The elite skins are only unlockable which is good.
 
Hunting the monster can be easy, or very challenging. I don't notice any balance issues with the game. It all just depends how well/poorly a certain role is played. I don't particularly enjoy playing as the monster often because it feels... lonely. You're by yourself, and I don't enjoy games like that. Hunting is pretty fun, but sometimes I just really enjoy wrecking a team as a monster.

Be careful the video has some bad words in it.

Saw this a few days ago, and I can concur with everything he says...
Nonetheless, I will be getting Evolve at some point in a few months.
