I just built my first PC today and my direct x diagnostics tool shows that I only have 256mb vram on my GTX 960. How do I fix this?

    Are you looking at this screen?
     
    My Titans have 6GB but this screen shown only 4GB The info from DX Diag is incorrect.

    Install GPU-Z and report back what it shows. I would not go off of DX Diag.

    Nice Rig. Let us know what GPU-Z shown DX Diag is not giving good info.

    So I used the install disks that came with the stuff to install the drivers. Should I check the websites for the latest drivers?

    Mt brother told me to use windows update and that fixed it. Thank you everyone for your help

    it would be best to download geforce experience it will optimise and update your gpu anytime a new fix is ready
