Hows this for a keyboard. The shipping cost more than the keyboard.

That keyboard lasted a long time. I replaced it last over a year ago with Corsair K70 Silver with Blue LED's.

my old trusty wont work anymore on newer computers, but it still works tested in a year ago. Old Gateway keyboard, AT connector, mechnical switches made 1987, still works like new, but sadly AT>PS2 works but AT>PS2>USB doesnt lol

Hey candle, how much time have you put into getting that Gateway keyboard going?

There are some die-hard geeks that have tried to figure out how to get a chain of adapters (AT > PS2 > USB) going to still have their favorite keyboard.

Had a Logitech G15 for years, great keyboard. Last year I moved to a Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2014 Stealth Edition. While I love the feel of the Razer, I regularly hit the caps lock key when going for the A key.. can't seem to train myself out of it (in fact I just did it again when I typed "train", lol). Frustrating.

Surprised to read Logitech didn't upgrade the Gaming Software for Windows 8.1 (yet?).

There's been no news of them even doing it. I feel even bad for people who upgraded to Windows 8.1 because the software made their OS buggy. Only fix they have is to run in Windows 7 compatibility.

I had an old HP media keyboard that ended up breaking at some point, I really don't remember now. It was my favorite at the time because it had a volume knob rather than a scroll or just a button and the F buttons were alligned a little different than most, which actually made it really easy for me to utilize on World of Warcraft for a few extra buttons. When I had to replace it... I couldn't find anything like it and it was very frustrating to deal with the key positioning at first. I ended up replacing it with a HP media keyboard I found at wal-mart for $20... wasn't near as nice as the first one I had.

I finally upgraded from that keyboard to a Logitech G710+. The difference is subtle, but when you use a work keyboard, then go back home and use a nice mechanical keyboard, the difference is very noticeable, especially when you realize how much a non-mechanical keyboard will screw up your key strokes. The change to my new keyboard was very intuitive this time around.

Changing my mouse was more of a challenge than my keyboard. I went from a Logitech G9, the original one from 2007 to a Logitech G502. It was horrible, the touch and feel were all wrong. I was consistently hitting extra buttons they added because they were in a bad spot for my usage. I found the Corsair M45 that fit my needs perfectly.

I was thinking about the G502 and settled for the G700S. Might switch to a RAT-7 or Torx 10.  I have wide hands and most mice are too narrow for me to use.

The M45 and M65 are really wide. Best Buy has them on display around me... I'd check them out for your self if you are considering a switch, they should have one near a best buy around you.

Best Buy in my town is Logitech friendly. One downfall of living in Central Pennsylvania. I'll try an M65 and see if it like it, if not there's  always soemone looking for them. Thanks for the advice!

You can make them considerably quieter than stock if you add o-rings to each key.
