Hi,

I just finished a new build with dual xeon sr-x and i have two questions!

Is this ram good for sr-x? Kingston KVR16R11D4/16. I yould like to buy 2x16gb for now and add more later? I am going to use this sytem for 3d and video editing not for gamng. Please suggest me other models.

The other question is! What e5 xeons V2 does this board support? I am asking for later upgrade.

Thank you

    Hello enidj

Unfortunately we have not tested this specific kit on this motherboard and after further review it looks like Kingston was unable to test this kit as well. The board is capable of supporting up to 96 Gb of 1600 MHz ECC or non ECC Memory. If the memory is Quad Channel DDR3 you should have no issues. Unfortunately I was unable to verify if the memory is Quad channel or not. Please follow the link I have provided below in order to review the CPU and Memory that is fully tested and compatible for this motherboard.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I dont want to mess with untested ram. This was build for work puproses not for testing or gaming. After some searches i purchased this ram: G.Skill Trident X F3-2400C10Q-32GTX 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3. Got them for 230 euros and i think was a good deal.
