hi
i have a 132-bl-e758   x58 sli board with a i7920 and bios 82
and was wondering if a x5660 are x5680 will work in it ?

 ~CPU:> Intel i7 8700k @3.70          
~CPU COOLER:> Noctua nh d14s
~MOBO:> EVGA z370  Classified K
    ~GRAPHICS :> EVGA RTX 2080 SUPER FTW3 ULTRA 
   ~RAM:> gSKILL TridentZ Series 16GB (2 x 8GB)   3200
~HD:> 960 pro 512g 
  ~PSU:> EVGA SuperNOVA 850 P2
 ~MONITOR:> 23" asus 1920x1080 and acer 16" 1366x768  
 ~INPUT:> Logitech G15 Keyboard and Logitech 502 mouse   
    ~O/S:> win10 (64) "pro"

    Look under "* Westmere processors are only supported natively on the X58 SLI3, FTW3, and Classified3 Models. A product modification may be needed for older models."
     9-02-2011 BIOS 83 132-BL-E758 Win8/Win7/Vista/XP Download  View I would say No it is not supported.

    Contact EVGA directly. They can give you a definitive answer. Also, if your board is still under warranty and needs a mod to work with the processor you are considering, they may do it for you free of charge. A recent thread addressing this:
