Hey guys,

i want to sell one of my GTX680 because one card has enough power for every game i play at the moment. I got both cards through step up and they are registered in my account. Because of the step up there is no invoice.

How does it work to tranfers the warranty? Just unregister the card and the new owner can register the card again?
If yes is it possible to get an invoice for the card although its a step up card?

Greetings

The warranty would start from the ship date from us for the second hand owner.  Step-Ups do not have invoices as they are processed via our RMA system but the second hand owner would not need one from you. You can enter the serial number in our Guest RMA area to see how many days are left on the warranty.

    Hey,
i get "You are not allowed to enter Guest RMA because your region is outside of US/CA/LATAM..." when entering the Guest rma but the card is ~1 1/2 month old so that shouldnt matter.

    Ok.
No invoice needed for the second owner. But what have i to do to transfer the warranty to the second owner?

The second owner would just have to do a Guest RMA within the warranty period to get warranty support.  This would be considered the transfer.  You do not have to do anything to transfer the warranty other than sell the card.

To confirm the warranty you would have to enter the serail number in the Guest RMA page as it would be based off of the ship date.  If it was from a Step-Up and 1.5 months ago then the ship date would also be from 1.5 months ago so the next owner would have the remaining warranty reported from the Guest RMA page.

For Europe Guest RMAs you would have to use http://eu.evga.com/Support/guestregister.asp.  The other link I posted is for US and Canadian customers.  I apologize for any confusion.

Hi MattM, I have a couple off questions pal.
I`ve bought a EVGA GTX 680 2GB from a friend, its only a couple off months old, is it possible to register it to my name?

Or does it not matter about it being in my name should I ever need to RMA it? I have no reciept or invioce but the card is registered??

It it is only a few months old you would have warranty under the Global Warranty.  You do not have to register it but you can under your EVGA account.  If you ever have to do an RMA you can submit a Guest RMA and it does not require it being registered as long as it is under the Global Warranty.

Second hand purchases will use the ship date from us for when the 3 year warranty starts.  At the beginning of the Guest RMA it will say how many days are left in the warranty.

Couldn't resist buying a new 770 yesterday on my credit card, before (instead of after) I sold my 1 year old spare EVGA GTX 690 to afford it...
So in other words I am really glad and very relieved to read this! Makes it nice and simple to sell on eBay for s good price now!

Great simple policy EVGA, really impressed. Thank you!

I have purchased a card from a friend in US who bought it from newegg. Right now I'm in India and still have 138 days worth of warranty left in the card. There were some blue/green artifacts in the screen. While RMAing what would be the best procedure for me? I guess 'guest RMA'?
