    Too early i guess?

It all depends on if EVGA sent out review samples, ask Jacob

The situation is just like 780FTW. It began to sell too late, so few people care about it.
The only thing you can do, is waiting. Someone maybe put pics or reviews here or other forums.

Yes you'll have to wait and see if anyone reviews it

I ordered my 980s Friday Was "Supposed to get them yesterday"  But I guess "UPS" Don't ship to me on Saturday is what EVGA said I stated I get UPS all the time here everyday if I needed to.  But OP I will post how good they are and what not and will State if there is any "whine" with them.

Ah, yes please. I mean the price is like $5-$10 more than the SC with a much better boost to begin with, I also read that the FTW uses a custom PCB as well so it should be a no brainer but then again, who knows. More concerned with higher probability of coil whine, noise and heat.

They are supposed to be here by Noon CST Tomorrow Aslong as I don't get called into work and I have power at house.(Getting about a foot of snow today) Then yes I will let you know about coil whine.  I usally don't OC the first day I mess around with 3dmark and few others to see how it is.  Before I start to do minor OCs

I'm not that entirely concerned with the max OC, because yours will not be mine. Just the regular operation of the unit is more than enough.

Another question, I wouldn't be limited due to a 4690K @ 4.5ghz would I? I just picked up the cheaper i5 to hold over until Broadwell since the z97 motherboard supports them. I have two builds, one 3770K w 2 780 ti and a micro atx build w/ 4690K(Will pick up the 5th gen i7 when releases) and plan to put the 980s in that.

@4.5 I don't think so tbh.  I will be running the 4790k @4.8  So I have seen a lot of 3770ks Do ok with the 980s. Should be fine I will post 3dmark when I get GPUs any other benchmarks you wanting? Include links to them if at all possible.

Can't give you much of a review... received mine last Wednesday. Have everything set as high as possible/ on in the manage 3D applications in the NVidia Control Panel. I play BF4 and have set my in-game resolution (under options and then video) to 1920x1080 @ 144.00Hz (ASUS VG248QE monitor). I usually don't fall below 120FPS in-game. I also have everything set to ULTRA and I rarely see a hiccup. I upgraded from an EVGA 680 GTX. Hope this helps.

Price for card dropped by $20 after I bought mine ;( typical though.

I did a thread/micro review about it but I couldn't get over +37mv through Afterburner or PrecisionX nor could my friend who owns it and another. Tweeted EVGA personnel and posted here and can't get an answer why that would be when I can get +87 on my superclocked.

OK this is bench mark ignore the generic stuff and ram clocks because 3d hates my ram all the time. This was quick I don't know if I got all the drivers removed from old one so this is with out double checking everything. Also word of warning when you remove the plastic film be careful not to pull off the stickers they come off way to easy.

Does this have a backplate? I would think a more premium GTX 980 would have one.

So the standard 980 backplate works for this? I plan to order this stuff tomorrow or Thursday so trying to get my parts planned by then, looks like I'll go with the 980 ftw tho for sure.

Thanks, I noticed that. Wish Amazon had them because I was ordering from them and could have it sent overnight without much charge, but meh on $30 overnight for a $20 part, I just ordered it via slowest possible which I doubt will get here by the end of the week, normally takes about 5 business days with their regular ups service.

No waterblocks for this card either? Going to take back my 970 SSC and get a 980. I'm looking at this card and MSI gaming. I can find a ton if reviews for MSI but none for FTW. There is also a water block for MSI.

just look at sc reviews literally no difference between the two performance wise you might have better luck though in getting higher ASIC with the FTW

Most of the time, you won't see professional reviews of every model of a card that a manufacturer releases.  That's typically because there isn't much difference besides performance due to clock speeds, unless there's a change in memory size.  You're more likely going to find member or user reviews of a specific model of a manufacturer's lineup.

No waterblocks for this card either? Going to take back my 970 SSC and get a 980. I'm looking at this card and MSI gaming. I can find a ton if reviews for MSI but none for FTW. There is also a water block for MSI.

That's not surprising, as it's newer and has a custom PCB and layout.  Also, those of us with Classifieds have been waiting far longer for a full-cover block, which EK is close to finally releasing.  There will likely be a block for this model, but it's one of those things that require waiting until a company designs and manufactures a waterblock.  After all, EK only just released waterblocks for MSI cards, so it can take a while.

just look at sc reviews literally no difference between the two performance wise you might have better luck though in getting higher ASIC with the FTW

If there is no difference then why are there blocks for the superclocked but not the FTW? And of that is the case then the MSI card is much better than the SC I have seen in the reviews

Different release dates, and different PCB and component layout.
