Rush when I engage clutch and come to a stop or as we're coming to a stop it revs a little up to about 1000 RPM... Is it supposed? I know how to drive a standard but I've never owned one lol... I am also learning how to fix and mod my cars (being trained by a master mechanic on the side he has 70 years experience)...

Do you throw it on Neutral?

If so, The RPM should drop to idle, I never really paid attention to the RPM... But I'm sure it never revved up on its own while stopping...

As long as it's not revving while you're in gear (Other than when YOU hit the gas, lol) then it shouldn't be a problem.

It's revving in first gear but with the clutch in... I'm pretty sure when the clutch is in its the same as neutral right?

Something like that. It revs when the clutch is pressed all the way down? It shouldn't do that unless you're letting off the clutch (Begins moving).

Nice to see that some people want the V8 to live! All those CO2 emissions crap is killing the good engines of one by one... so sad.
Great car by the way and looks mint even if it's nearly 10 years old. (I guess)

Be different and stay awesome!

Congrats!

I would make sure there is not an aftermarket tune on that car. Ask the techs to look. If there is, and they did not give you the tuner when they sold you the car, you will have problems. It is best to ask Ford to put the factory tune back on the car, buy your own tuner and be in control instead of the dark.

You do run a risk though. If there is a tune, and it is special to "Mods" the previous owner did (Like a cam for example, you cannot see it like you can headers or a CAI) might not work well at all with the factory tune. It might be best to take it to a local and well known/trusted performance shop and ask them to look and see if it has a tune.

^ This is true.

I traded my 2013 in with 4.10 gears and I reset the tune back to stock...

They gave me every other mod I had put, everything, So the only problem they will have is the gears.. LOL.

But that just goes to show that your car might have a similar problem as well.

I only offer the info so that you are aware of it instead of chasing weird stuff. Tunes can cause issues, and tunes can make a car sign like a finely tuned machine.

The likelihood of yours having a tune is small. Sadly I have come across a few that got ridden hard, had parts taken off, and then traded in. Items removed are like the rims/tires, exhaust, headers etc. So the car looks and sounds stock... When most of it's life it was a hot rod... The one item they miss or run out of time for is the tune...

Love the look of your car man. I hope you enjoy it for years!

Here is a recent pic from a coast run my wife and I took this weekend...

nice! I plan on taking it to my mechanic this week (worked at ford as a mechanic for 30 years specifically mustangs) so I can find out what's stock what's not... If it ain't broke though I ain't fixin it... I appreciate all the advice so far guys... Also it seems more fuel efficient than my 94 5.0 GT LOL
