What temperature monitoring utilities can I use with X99? I'm mostly interested in CPU core temperatures and GPU temperature.

I notice that EVGA offers E-Left utility: a general version and a X99-specific Beta version. The generic version looks like CPU-Z in a custom frame. Yet, most features seem to disabled and the temperature monitoring tab looks almost dead too. The X99-specific Beta seems to work better for what's in there, but it has no temperature monitoring tab at all.

Any other alternatives?

HWinfo64 all the way.  Your motherboard vrm temp is the highest one at load under the Fintek section.

    Whats wrong with Real Temp?

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

Didn't show all cores on 5960x last time I checked, and also was bugged to the point of having to restart the system when in uefi mode.  HWinfo64 is much better, shows everything flawlessly on X99, same alarm features also.

I use RealTempGT and Aida 64 Extreme on all my rigs, X99 Classified as well.

Sorry, had it wrong, Core Temp was bugged horrendously in uefi and Real Temp just didn't show all cores last time I ran it.  Real Temp seemed to run fine, just needed update for 5960x cores and made it a little more difficult to see max difference between all cores.  Aida doesn't show vrm temp, just the southbridge chip.

I am asking Tamas if the Aux is the VRM on the X99 Chip Set that on the X79 Chip Set show it as VRM.

If the temp goes up to around 50C or above (during high cpu load and on air) without a fan on the vrm you know its it.  The chipsets run very cool nowadays, well vrms do in a sense also, but much much warmer than the chips do.

I am on Water and at 5GHz on the CPU the VRM High was 42C

I would like to see ADA go from 10 to 16 Temps
