Many thanks LCRava xDD
As for that T-Rex that is an Imperial Tyrannosaurus Rex toy from 1985 xDDD

As you can see it has webbed feets xDDD  This was done to prevent it's toes from snapping off xD

Realistic colors xDDD

Brand = Imperial, Production year 1985, as written on it's bellehz xD

Dem Dem Red Lips lewl

Since it's a toy and not a model these old T-Rex toys are often named Chinasaurs or Retrosaurs xD
It's something I kept from my childhood, never parted with it since I bought it back in 1986 at a Toyworld in Bunbury, Western Australia.

Anyhoo that was Little Rex, here a nice package that is on the way xD hrr hrr xD

Contents:
2x 12Core AMD OpteronMP 6180 SE D1 Server CPU's 24 Cores 24 Threads @ 2.5Ghz xD
I grabbed these for a very good deal. more pics when they arrive and are installed!

sorry to have dug this up but how do these do for general usage? im getting this board and some 6272's cheap from a friend (like £140 XD) and it's basically going to be a 'gaming server' so some server stuff with gaming on the side, generally just an 'everything rig' i can only have one rig so a dedicated server isn't an option for me so im wondering how well they do in general use (so games and browsing and whatnot, i can imagine browsing not being a problem it's just games due to the lower clocks i worry about :P )

Well I run Dragon Age: Inquisition @ 1920 x 1200 x32 with AMD Mantle API in Ultra without issues no frame drops nothing a constant 40fps
And I run 28 Manned Primal Carnage 1.3 &  Primal Carnage: Extinction 0.96 EA servers + I play on the same system and I do Live HD game video recordings without lag or performance drops, so yer these G34 systems are quite capable doing your Server, Game and Video workloads all at the same time without the need to worry about things that are going be too slow.

If you have more Server/Workstation related questions feel free to ask me or pay a visit at 2CPU Forums which is here:

thanks for the reply and for the info too :3 ill have a look at the site you mentioned too so thanks for that too, but as long as it can keep up with my 8320 games wise despite the clock then i see no problems, otherwise ill need to source some higher clocked ones or some ES ones, i have decided im set on G34 though so ill be at least starting with the 6272's so as long as it can handle all the server tasks along with some games on the side then im set, just need to get a few pins unbent on the board and im done, the board works but there are a few pins bent on the board which means only hald the dimm slots on the first sockets bank actually work but once that's sorted im set :P

again thanks, and it is a beauty of a rig you have too might i add :)

Dawww thankies, took me a lot of years to save up and finally complete, I play Dragon Age: Inquisition on it with Mantle API< it uses all24 Cores as well, as that Mantle API is SMP limitless, it runs fine @ 1920x  1200 x32 in Mantle API in Ultra settings no dips a constant 40-45 fps as where D3D it does less than 28fps rofl, Mantle is an API done right

ill be sure to make use of the mantle API then with my 7950 (though i may be going up soon to something beefier if my electric payments will allow XD)

i know what you mean too XD my current rig took me a while to get and now im moving off to LGA1944 since i have to chop down my dedicated servers XD

i do believe i made the right choice here too :3 it'll be interesting to see 32 cores dancing about anyways even with the server use :P
that said on the 2CPU place i don't think the one that mentioned the SAS read it properly XD ill be using adapters from sas to sata, not sas drives but it's easy to read things too fast i do suppose :P

Oh I did read that, I just type and read things different than most others lol.
You can use SATA III-600 Drives on that SAS2-600 controller, no probs at all, as that SAS2-600 is actually SATA III-600, but then Full Duplex over Half Duplex, as in 600MB per sec up/down as where SAIA III-600 = 600MB per sec up and 300MB er sec down something like that in a sense.

But this won't stop you from using SATAIII-600 drives on the SAS2-600 controller, go for it it will work just fine
An other cool feature is that the SAS2-600 controller is  not a software controller as seen on most gaming motherboards
It is hardware addressed @ PCI-E 2.0 x8, so it's certainly not slow either

i have only one problem now XD i can't find anywhere if the board has 26 pin sas or 36 pin sas XD finding allot of 36 pin ones that'd do but few 26 pin ones so im unsure which one will work XD im assuming one is for sas 1 and the other for sas 2?

in any case as long as i can get my MX100 running at or close to rated speeds then im set

The Supermicro H8DG6-F has  an 8 Port SAS2-600 Controller aka the LSI 2008i SAS2-600 RAID controller signed @ PCI-E 2.0 x8.
You'd have to look up the specs for SAS2-600 I Dunno how many pics it is, I never used SAS before, you could send Supermicro an email about this, they will reply  for sure  or just ask @ 2CPU.com I would really not know.

ill probably look into the interface itself some more, if that turns up nothing ill email supermicro and failing that ill ask at 2CPU yus :3

back again it seems, i apologise if im being a bother XD. earlier in the thread you mentioned hypersli, i know it's not supported by up to date drivers but if i were to use old ones would that work with say a pair of 590's? i might be able to source some cheap so i just wonder if it'd be doable with older drivers that work with it :P

Oh yer cool no need to be sorry xD
It's that I am just very surprised someone is posting in this thread!  Thaks for that doe xD

As the GTX 590's go,it works but it is very complicated, I have two EVGA GeForce GTX 295 Red Editions, function of Quad SLI is the same, however I just wasn't bothered goring through all such hassles, Aryan my friend from2CPU.com had to use PCI-E Extenders as well, you can read more about it here:

the difference for me between the 590 and the 6990 is about £60, not a right lot in the grand scheme of things but it's a rather large dent for someone who doesn't have £6 let alone £60 XD
if i can afford it ill go with the 6990 as it'll be easier to get multiple ones going but if not i might just go with something else :P

and regarding the posting here, this is one of the few places i could get info on the G34 stuff at first XD now i have 2CPU as you recommended and you've been a massive help i must say :3

Hah my old build log goodness of the Force!

Well this system is still in use, only the GPU being a Sapphire Nitro+ RX Vega 64 and the 2TB Crucial MX500 SSD as only upgrades pretty much it really.
This system is still in service as main server for Primal Carnage: Extinction, The Isle & SCP-Secret Laboratory  but also ideal for games like Borderlands 3, Subnautica: Below Zero, Aquanox: Deep Descent & Overload, but I also do some retro classics with it like Descent 1 &2 with DXX-Rebirth 0.58.1 + DXX Retro 1.3 for D1 & 1.3a for D2, Command & Conquer Red Alert2; + Yuri's Revenge with Purple Alert Mod 4.28 & Minecraft, but also great single player RPG's like Dragon Age Inquisition & The Witcher 2 &3 , all the games run maxed out at 2560x1600x32 in max in game settings without any hesitations, so no need for upgrades yet.

All in all it does everything just fine, even a good 6 years later  from it's built date back in Q2 of 2014.

So here is the current name & specs of this beauty:

Valkyrie SMP 2014

hey thanks  yea still going on strong, so no real space for upgrades yet either, money isn't on my side, being disabled we pay more higher tacxes s oby around  March 24, 2021 is when I might be ready for a new part I'll see tho, even tho I might be more eager to do an other retro build than something new, my interests and love for classic hardware will always be something that would be more on my mind tbh.

Nah is due to bad lighting of the shot, the mouse mat is fine I am not really a gamer for that part so, everything I can save money from I prefer to leave things be til I really can't see them as useful.  :)
