What monitor resolution are you trying to drive?

Generally, the card will work fine with active or passive adapters, although active adapters are far less likely to create issues.  If your monitor resolution is higher than 1920x1080, you'll need a DP to dual-link DVI adapter.  Although there are some that are simply active, you may run into issues, unless you get one both active and powered, such as this one:

Then pretty much any DP to DVI adapter will work.  As mentioned, though, go with an active DVI adapter.  What are the refresh rates on the monitors?

In that case, you'll be fine with pretty much any DP to DVI adapter.  I still recommend an active adapter, but no need to spend the extra money for a powered adapter.
