#2 Login to hidden administrator account.
#3 Open command prompt and type... secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose and hit enter. After it's done type icacls C: /reset /T /C and hit enter. Make sure to run as administrator here too.

#4 Login to your account and see if you can install the driver. If you can't install the driver try running the above commands on your account then try installing the driver afterwards. Make sure to run command prompt as administrator when you type the commands on your account.

Alright, setting up the hidden account. Just wanted to thank you again for taking the time out of your day to help me. Even if we end up not figuring it out, just wanted to let you know that I appreciate all of your expertise. :)

No problem. If we can't get your account working you may just need to create another administrator account (after performing all the above commands) using the hidden admin account and you should be good to go then. You should also be able to install the driver using the hidden admin account.

I am in that account now and just completed the first part of step #3 I did get a message saying there were some errors and it pointed me to a log. Here is what the first part of the log says

this last part with Warning 5: Access is denied is repeated a couple hundred more times with some other stuff, but I assume this is from before I adjust the priveleges on the admin account?

If you can't install the driver type services.msc into the start button search and hit enter. Make sure the windows management instrumentation service is set to automatic and is started.
