faster load times on what ?- the OS or Battlefield ?

I prefer an  SSD  with just OS & main drivers, programs on it   -> then  HDD for games ,files,downloads,etc..etc.

+1 that is the best way to go for the money. However, if you want faster loading times on your games there are 1TB SSDs out there but they're not cheap (although prices have come down).

SSD for load is much faster.  You are comparing RAID 0 i.e. 2 HDDs.  HDDs are limited by rotational speed.
I would put the OS, and Games on the SSD and a swap on the old HDD.

2 SMALLER SSD'S , say 2 x 256's in Raid 0 for you OS and a few games you currently run,,
cheaper than and faster than one large ssd
1 standard HD , SAY 1.5 TB for image backup or 2 x larger internal
1 x small, say 512 GB USB 3.0 device for important things and extra backup images.

or even better, build a small server computer in the house for massive storage for everyone

Raid 0 SSDs (ssds are getting pretty cheap,  you can now buy 240gb for less than 30gb drives where when they first started coming out) with a large HDD or two for backup/large file storage.

My single Samsung 840 EVO 512 gig SSD is faster than the Raid 0 SSD's I was running before upgrading. Raid only works faster with platter drives. Cut my boot time by 10 seconds.
