Dunno, stopped in Dec.  Figured they had killed the program completely.  I thought the cutover was like Jan. 5th and BA dies.  Guess they lied.

BA dies at the end of this month. I too thought it was last month, but was incorrect. As for the work units, I have gotten 8105, 8104, 8105 as my last 3.

yeah and now my 8425 rig seems to be unable to make deadlines on the 8101, so its going crunching here soon and i'll just put a 970 on it to fold. my 780 is getting 200kppd and a 4p is struggling to make 100k... ugg I hate when things change.

If you're using H8QME-2 boards the pcie slot is too close to the other slot next to it to fit a video card in.
You would have to cut off the locking tab to get it in the slot.
I think cutting off that tab on a new 970 video card would void the warranty.

Can you put it on a riser?

PCI-E 1x usb riser.  $5 on amazon.  I crunch on the gpu but haven't tried folding yet.  It's just a 560ti for now.

took me about 15 min to build this out of scraps from work

I saw something like it on amazon for $50. Might cost $20ish in material if you don't have scraps laying around. I can give you guys dimensions and a material list if anyone is interested. I'm using the same powered risers as Opolis. They are cheap and work well, no noticeable loss in ppd running the 1x to 16x riser. This homemade rack has the room for at least 6 cards with plenty of spacing if you have the pci-e slots

I just sat mine on the 4p shelf I have right beside my boards, the riser has a rubber backing and stands up easy since I'm only using 1 card. honestly the hardest part was setting up Ubuntu to work with the card and F@H software since I'm not very good with the commands.

using the [H] install this was the command list that finally got it working:
    Remove all possibly installed packages:
    sudo apt-get remove nvidia-* nvidia-current nvidia-current-updates
    Clean up:
    sudo apt-get autoclean
    sudo apt-get autoremove
    Install driver:
    sudo apt-get install nvidia-current-updates

Nathan I'm getting 8103 one the slower one atm so its atleast making deadlines now. but my 8439 is still in 8101 hell. only a few more days and it wont much matter. I just finished tweaking the bios for a 770sc that cl007 gave me (one of the many great friends from the evga forums). so i'll put it back in the 8425 4p tonight and let it rock. just need to fins another cheap 780 or something for the faster 4p.
