I just moved into a new home, but my office has an AFCI breaker in it that keeps tripping. I've got two 780 ACX's running in SLI and I can start running Uningine Heaven and unplug everything else & my breaker will trip after a few minutes. I have my system hooked up to a kill-a-watt plug to check Watts/amperage & it's pulling 600Watts max so I'm not overloading the circuit.

I'm guessing the breaker is thinking the power spikes from the GPU's are arc faults, just looking to see if anyone else has experienced anything similar to this. I'm going to test it with a GFCI breaker tonight which I'm 98% sure will stop the tripping, but I'd feel better if I knew I wasn't the onyl one having this issue.

Have you tried using a different outlet? Are you using a UPS?

I've tried multiple outlets, but I haven't tried it on a different AFCI circuit in my home.

I installed a standard circuit breaker last night and everything works fine. I'd rather be able to have it work with an AFCI breaker so I may test it in another bedroom to see if it was a bad breaker I had.

In the meantime, it sounds like you found a solution that works.  Let us know how the investigation continues to see if it was just a bad breaker.
