To make it short:
 
I bought a 970 FTW, AND a backplate from evga EU site before i recieved the card. (40-45 USD with shipping)
I recieve the card, it had coil whine, i returned the card.
Now i can choose the new SSC model, but as i understand, the backplate wont fit!
 
So the question is, will there be a backplate for the new SSC model? 
Or will the backplate for FTW+ sold separatly??
 
Ps. anyone wanna buy a backplate? :( 
 

the best solution for now is replace the FTW with another FTW and wait until FTW+ comes out.

^^^ Wow... Isn't that something. Thanks for sharing. I am looking to buy the backplates for my cards from almost 2 months (GTX 980 SC ACX 2.0) with no chance. I would probably have to wait another 2-3 months and EVGA now they provide the backplates with the cards... BTW, I live in Canada...

I know how you feel and I'm in the same situation. When the new SSC backplate comes in I'll order one.

People have to remember... These things are made in China and put on a boat... Boats aren't fast. They take a lot of time to get to the US, where they probably get some for the US and then put the rest on a boat to the EU stores.

I am not sure if that is how it truly works, but that is probably why there is always a delay. They could ship them direct to EU, but a boat going around the horn of Africa from East Asia would probably be slower and face many other risks as well.

If EVGA had them flown to EU, I guarantee we would see a HUGE outcry when the shipment arrived and the cost was tacked on to the EU prices...

I know it sucks and no one wants to wait, but the expense of cost savings has to come in to play somewhere, and that is going to be in shipping times in between countries.

I know all of the EU patrons cry that the US get treated best, but where are EVGA headquarters? I honestly don't know, but I know one land mass that is in between China and EU would be considered North America. The other option is a round about way to get them to EU direct... Just past every other continent except North and South America. *I guess they wouldn't pass Australia either.*

This isn't me trying to justify the shipping times or how EVGA EU treats their patrons at all.

Don't think they ship by boat, USA to Germany (evga Europe office) :)

Hope Jacob can send me two plates as I gladly pay the extra shipping costs. USA to Sweden :)
