Been a rough 5 months being unemployed.  Been staying with family, not a good setup for my systems, so they've been off other than homework.  I got an offer for a job, accepted it, we found a house we wanted to rent, applied and were approved and now we're preparing to move from Cali to North Carolina in a week.  I've been crunching the numbers for the budget with alot of unknowns and estimates so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to get back into crunching since I'll be paying for everything now.  Boo on no free healthcare and free electricity and water, things I got used to while in the military.

As always and I will reiterate this.  Family and self first, team is always secondary.  We do however, support you and I can't speak for all but I'm pretty darn sure no one will tell me to shut up.  We, as a team, appreciate all you have done and once settled and moving up the corporate ladder will continue to do.
 
As a fellow military man (retired or retarded depending on your views) from one vet to another thanks for your service.

I think your electric utility rate should not be too bad.
Best thing to do is get set in your new job and home. See what your income expenses shake out to be.
Save some money for a rainy day, then worry about crunching/folding.

I wholeheartedly agree with this post.  Even in the best budget, when undergoing so many life changes at once, you will probably miss something.  Get your feet on the ground, get a good feel for your monthly expenses/savings goals, and try to live well under that.  Then crunch and fold!  And remember that being part of a team is not defined by how much you crunch.
 
Also, I'd like to echo the thank you to you and the other military actives/retirees.
