Hello,

I am looking at buying an EVGA card, that has come from the Step up program. The card has never been used, is in sealed box, and unregistered with EVGA.

Since it comes from the step up program, i do not know if there is an invoice with the card, which is needed for RMA, if it was to happen.

If i do buy this card, what paper work do i need to get with it, and how will i be seated if RMA was to be needed?

You would be able to use the Guest RMA page under the Support tab. There, you will be able to determine the warranty remaining on the card. No invoice is necessary for this page.

As the card will be a second-hand card, all you need to do is submit for an RMA through our Guest RMA page. You don't even have to register the card if you don't want to. No invoice is necessary for this either, and you'll get the remainder of the 3 year warranty based off of the date we shipped the card out. We treat guest RMAs the same as any Standard RMA, you send in your faulty card, and we'll send you a replacement.

I do have a follow up question.

The card i am looking at buying, it has extended warranty (5years), will that transfere with the card to me, or not?

the warranty at EVGA is not customer bound but product bound.
so it goes with the card no matter who is the current owner.

as far as I understand you want to buy the card from the original owner who stepped up.
step-up cards are automatically registered while shipping so the card should be already registered at the original owners profile.
last but not least you will never be able to step-up this card as step-up cards are not allowed to do so.
