Just gutted an old Dell XPS 600. Is this SB0460 sound card worth using?

I was given a Dell XPS 600 computer, 800 pound case and all with a bad power supply so I gutted it and saw that it has this sb0460 sound card http://www.amazon.com/Dell-Creative-SB0460-SoundBlaster-Xtreme/dp/B005EDG0G6/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1422158034&sr=1-3&keywords=sb0460
I am only using a 5.1 surround sound with onboard audio on this mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128520. Would I see (or hear I should say) much difference with this older soundcard or just leave it alone?

    slap it in, fire it up ! see if it works :P
     
    sound card is pci. motherboard has 2 pci slots, it should work.
