Before anyone says no this is not "new". As mentioned in the video these have been around since 2012. All I have to say is whats next for police to use to incriminate people in a unusual way? Hmm maybe they might take DARPA's little fly drones and be a fly on the wall in your house. But I do see a positive from this technology. This device will be great for rescue during a situation where a natural disaster has happened where people or pets are stuck under rubble of buildings.

Odd premise you have. People incriminate themselves through their own actions, not because cops have x-ray vision.

More security through insecurity?!?!? Good luck trying to use that on my house. I have chickenwire reinforced plaster walls through the whole house and aluminum siding on the whole house with full length metal window screens already. A couple grounds and some other "tweaks" and its useless.

Once it enters the home. I would say that qualifies as unreasonable search. We can't block it like we can a cop looking in a window by closing the curtain/binds. I don't get why any judge would allow it to be used without a warrant. At least one judge threw out a case where cops used infrared to bust someone growing pot.

My gaming room is 15 to 20° hotter than the rest of the house. That would make for an interesting knock at the door, lol.
