Sorry, thought I had mentioned it b4. I have the FTW X99. I may try to bump it up if I can't figure this out.
I thought I had found it once, but had other issues with the os. Still had the old backup, re installed Windows, formatted the drives, using a SSD for backup.
System atm is as follows:
EVGA X99 FTW
Intel 5960x
Kingston Hyper X 4x4gb 2800 mhz
Intel series 530 120gb in raid 0
Kingston E50 enterprise 240 gb for os backup.
Additional Kingston E50 240 gb for benching software, 3DMark,....nothing too serious, still pretty new to ocing but got to 5 ghz on a 3960 and 4.8 on the 4960, so I think the biggest issue atm is setting the llc to a higher load capability likely high or extreme.
WD Raptor Drive 500 gb, storage, apps....
EVGA 980 SC ACX2.0
LG BR
Corsair AX1200 not the 1200 i .
All of this is inside of a Lian Li PC V2120. 11 expansion slots,....modular, removable motherboard tray, all aluminum constr.....Awesome imho. It dwarfs a CM HAF X and is capable of holding a SR-2.
Now I have 2 480 rads with 4 107 cfm fans on each and atm I'm only wcing the cpu. EK gold cpu block, best I could find from multiple reviews. EK thermal paste which came with the block.
Windows 76 Ult 64bit
It works fine otherwise, I can oc the gpu np. I've run all 4 3DMark, 03 Van 11 and Mark.
I'm sure it's something like a simple adjustment like the llc. I did get it to 4.5 once, and 4.14 as well which I managed to run a benchmark. Only ocing I'm getting is from core freq adjust.
It seems the multiplier doesn't work, yet when the core is adjusted it does go up. It will say in the oc section that the multiplier is 45, yet when I check with windows it says 30???
Until I can figure out that issue I'm sol. No hair left, pulled it all out in frustration...LOLZ
Can I step up to the classified if I just got the board days ago??? I wasn't sure about the mobos...
