Hi all,
The project of the month for January is gonna be another not so sexy one:
primaboinca
Unfortunately it does come without any bling.
We should easily be able to make up quite some points there for the DC vault and should also gain us a nice initial boost for the 2015 season of Formula BOINC.Just beware they download with a runtime of 8 min, no matter what , whilst actual runtime is somewhere between 1 and 3 h. So make sure you either add it with a project share of 0 or without any additional buffer until youré sometime in the your first batch of tasks.

Also for those who want to participate here are some other challenges:
primegrids year of the sheep challenge starting Jan 3rf 6pm UTC
and the rematch on the pogs ultimate team challenge

Happy crunching  and a metry christmas and a happy new year to all of you

    As I

Yep Grandpa has the number one Rank, normal for the most part. He is not running any Tasks ATM.
Looking for their Server Status Link and cannot seem to fine it anyone know?

My first tasks are running, odd though at it logged me out of my computer and I had to log back in.
Not sure this is a Safe Project?

This was the error: Session "Circular Kernel Context Logger" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000035
I am also running GPUGRID on 2 of three GPU's.

First Run Time: 1 Hour | Points: 200

Currently only Workunits ready to send 62, not very many ready to go.
Barbarossa did you let them know we are going to pull out the guns in a DC Strike Force Attack in January?

No I didn´t let them know.
Number of wus ready to go is always that low, but doesn´t stop you from downloading hunderds of tasks...
+ I also figuered with the primegrid and pogs challenges our rigs should easily be able to keep busy.

As for the logging in and out of your computer: On the rigs I have run it so far, I never had that problem.

    I'm in!

Probably sit out Primegrid Challenge Series this year or pick and choose individual ones.
Feeling strongly to return to medical projects.

I am in. I will set up my account this evening. I am almost done with the two builds I started a few months ago. Amazing that this has taken me so long to do. Anyway, looking forward to a big contribution in 2015 with my additional computing. I really wanted to have them done for the PrimeGrid challenge but it seems they have changed things up in the beginning of 2015. I also agree with yodap, as I also feel strongly about doing more medical projects this year. I am very grateful for the advances of medicine today since I am a product of those advancements. Can we alternate between medical and non-medical projects for the POTM?

    Crunch on!

After some of my testing on my 2P Rig I was running Rosetta@Home at the same time and PRIMABOINCA is Running as High Priority and Rosetta@Home is not running a at all. One Task takes about 3.5 Hours to complete on my 2P Rig.
I would run PRIMABOINCA with no other CPU Projects or Tasks Running at the same time.

    Profile added
Just as a side note, when creating the profile, it said our origin is Japan.
Nothing against it, just that we usually go as "International"

I'm having an issue adding this project to my BOINC client.  The request keeps timing out.  Has anyone else had this problem?

Update: I was able to add it to my 4p but my x79 keeps timing out.

Is their web site up? I have had issues before creating accounts through BOINCstats or BAM! when the Project's Web Site is down.
Their site looks ok ATM. Free-DC seems to be down though.

    Observations:
They downloaded as if they take 8 minutes but take more than 12 times that long and finishing this first batch before the deadline looks to be in doubt.
On one rig they've been running high priority and not so on the second one.
They only update once a day on FreeDC.
We've climbed one spot in FreeDC and have 0 threats atm.

Yea, see Post http://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2272728 above about the high priority.
I found that you should run them alone with no other CPU OR GPU Task.

Took me a second to translate "CPT" - but you'll have to PM RHMash if you want those things changed, as he created the team for this project so is the only one that can change it.

We´re not located in Japan any more

So far we´re doing really good.
One week into it, we´ve gained 5 positions and are on our ways to overtake a few more till the end of the month, with currently no danger from behind.
The 5 positions gained us ~110 points on the DC Vault and together with last months potm we´re now just 75 points shy of the top 10 in the maths category.
On Formula Boinc we´re currently in 6th position. Not too shabby either if you look what big teams are still behind us

    Ouch..

Dilemma... stay put, waiting for work, or switch?
Does this normally happen, if so, how long will it last?
What are the chances for them to come up with more work during the weekend?
Their web site has been on/ off lately, but the work has had a good flow.

Guess I will split resources, let some cores wait for them to come up with work, and switch over some cores to other projects.
