    Wow and I finally moved up to a 1Tb drive. I'm sure these are aimed at the enterprise segment.

    Let me guess, it comes with a five month warranty. Not a day less!
    Jokes aside, I learned the hard way that the bigger the HDD the bigger the loss will be when it fails. So I'll stick to the 5 year warranty protected HDDs that aren't larger than 2TB.

    wolf just get 4 of them and use raid 5, no data loss and your array isn't affected if only one fails at a time.

    I could easily fill that kind of drive if I had that 10Gbps fiber going to Minneapolis.... I'd make so many "backups" 
     
    As it stands... I cant even imagine filling up 1TB... let alone 10TB

    I've known people who bought drives to use RAID5 but when they all come from the same batch, they are likely to fail at the same time
