Specs:
X99 FTW
5930k
Crucial 4x4gb 2400 ram
EVGA 1000G PSU
Win 7 64BIT
3x GTX 760's
1x GTX 750Ti

Ok, so here is whats going on. I have 3 760's in SLI. I picked up a 750Ti FTW to use as a PhysX card for gaming and benching, and also for folding/crunching. I installed the 750 went into windows and reinstalled the drivers and the GPU was there. Rebooted and the GPU disappeared. I shut down verified the card was fully seated rebooted and the GPU was still missing. Performed a clean install of the GPU drivers again and rebooted and the GPU was there again. Did some benchmarks and overclocked a little bit and the GPU disappeared again after 3dMark crashed. The GPU still shows up in device manager and also shows up in the bios. But now I can't seem to get it to show up anywhere else. Nvidia control panel doesn't see it and neither does Precison. Does anyone have any ideas? Preferably ones that don't involve removing my 760's since they are watercooled and removing them is a pain.

I would check the connections.  If they are all ok than there really is nothing to do and hope its not the lane being used by the 750.

Use this Associate Code at your checkouts or follow these instructions for Up to 10% OFF on all your EVGA purchases:

Rechecked connections and still didn't work. Disabled all other PCI slots with the switches and rebooted with my monitor plugged in to the 750 and booted right up no problems. Guess I'll see if it drops out when a specific slot is turned back on. And also just to put out there yes the 6 pin PCI-e connector at the bottom of the board is plugged in.

Try turning off the PCIe Slots for the GTX 760 Cards on the MB then see if the GTX 750Ti shows up in Windows.

Zo, make sure you enable the 6pin connector for the PCI lanes in the Bios. If you plug it in and don't enable it, you are still pulling from the 24 pin, according to the bios. It is under Advanced - Power Management.

No option in my bios. Is that possibly a Classified only option? I did find that if i disable slot 4 that the 750 comes back. So a voltage/amperage problem definitely seems to be the cause.

Sent a message to tech support. Guess we'll see what they say.

Sounds like EVGA is thinking PSU isn't big enough. Which is along the lines of what I was thinking. I'm going to power GPU's from another PSU and see if it works.

Remember the extra power cable on the board itself if the ftw has one.  It's a pcie 6pin on the classy, located at the bottom-back corner.  I get scared I'll forget that, so plug it in for even 1 card now lol

Ya, I already had it plugged in. Thanks for the suggestion though I appreciate it.

So yesterday I was back and forth with tech support several times and didn't figure anything out. In out last message we decided I was going to add in an external PSU to verify that it wasn't a power issue and the concern was still present. That didn't change anything but I got to thinking. The GPU's all show up when I install the drivers. Well right after installing the drivers the first thing I do is go to Nvidia control panel and enable SLI and dedicate the 750Ti to PhysX. So I went to control panel and disabled SLI closed control panel and reopend it and there listed again was the 3 760's and the 750Ti. So now I've got to update my support ticket again and see where we go from here. Everything worked fine when I only had 2 760's enabled even with SLI enabled. Not sure why it doesn't like 3 way SLI with PhysX.

So for the most part could this be a simple driver issue?

Yup, just sent an update to EVGA. Although they won't see it until tomorrow. Guess I'll see what they want to do. Hopefully it gets figured out soon.

Well, finally got an answer from EVGA. Basically I'm out of luck right now. It's an ongoing problem where the Kepler (750ti) and Maxwell (760) have an issue with each other. Guess I'll just get rid of the 750 and possibly pick up another 760. Or just leave it at 3 GPU's.

So in the end yes it's a driver issue. Wonder if they will ever fix it.

Well, I revisited trying to get a working physics card yesterday. My dad upgraded to a 750Ti and gave me back the 550Ti that I had given him last spring. I put the card in and I have the same exact problem. So now I'm pretty sure it's either a driver problem on Nvidia's side, or perhaps a bios issue on EVGA's side. Either way I'd like to think that they will figure it out at some point.

Under a Heavy CPU Load what are your Temperatures now?

Did you mean to post this in this thread? If so let me know and I'll check it tonight when I'm home. I haven't really been monitoring it super close. I'm also running stock speed now because the machine is in it's permanent room which tends to make it run warm due to the small space.
