Hello all.  It's been quite a loooong time since I've posted to the EVGA forums.  Since EVGA products have always been solid for me in the past (going back to 8800 cards) I figure, what better place to post up some questions.

I'm currently running two X58 systems and I think I'm a bit overdue for an upgrade.  Here is what my build list looks like.  I'd appreciate any and all feedback and recommendations.  I also have a few questions related to the X79 platform.  Here we go......
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BUILD SPECS:
Computer use:  Moderate Gaming, Moderate CAD work, Abobe Creative Suite, Music Production and general everyday use.  Moderate overclocking for daily use.
OS: Windows 7
Case: HAF 932 (old one, not the Advanced.)  As long as it will work for the below, I'd be happy sticking with it.  Not too worried about SATA 6 G/S on front ports either.
MOBO:  EVGA X79 Dark
CPU: Intel 3930K
PSU: EVGA Supernova 1000 watt
Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum 2133 (16 GB, 4 Sticks)
GPU: EVGA 970 GTX (tunnel fan version) (possible SLI in the future)
HDD Main:  Intel 730 SSD (2 in RAID 0)
HDD Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB
CPU Cooler: Corsair H110
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question 1: Can someone point me in the direction of a thorough OC-ing thread for the X79 platform?  I'm assuming it's different than X58 and I haven't oc'd anything since that build 4+ years ago.  I need a refresher.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question 2: What OC speed should I expect on the 3930K for a daily OC.  Is 4.2 typical within safe vCore/temps for daily use or should I set me sights a bit lower?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question 3 : Suggested BIOS version on the X79 Dark?  I know the newest isn't always the be
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question 4:  Is the Corsair H110 reliable?  I've read lots of reviews, but more opinions are appreciated.  I've watercooled before, but not with a standalone system like this.  Leaks? Pump failure? etc.... Compatibility with the HAF 932 (looks the same as the ADvanced which is compatible)

Thank you in advance!  Any advice is appreciated....good or bad.

Also, how's RAID 0 on the x79 and the SATA III?  Any problems with drives dropping out the array with the x79 more than other platforms?

Behooves you to run 8.1 or 10 preview with UEFI all enabled.

    I'm running the X79 SLI and DARK.  the Dark with the 4930k I'm running 4.4ghz @ 1.260vc and on the SLI with a 3930k 4.2ghz @ 1.228vc

I was running both rigs at 4.6ghz but I didn't like using such high Vcore to attain 4.6ghz so I backed it down.

I suggest running G-skill memory on your new build.

    Thank you for the input.
I was planning on Win 10 when fully released, what is the advantage of 8.1 UEFI for the time being.  Is UEFI not something having to do with malware or something like that? (sorry for the ignorance here.  Again, it's been a while)

I've heard good things about the GSkills and chose the Corsair's out of habit (always been good to me).  Is there a problem with those Corsair sticks or a benefit to the GSkills?

    System Specs:
Metal box with an X99 system, a bunch of EVGA parts, and some wires inside of it.

Gskill has the best compatibility with EVGA X79 and X99 boards.

UEFI: Unified Extensible Firmware Interface allows for faster boot, better hardware initialization at POST and allows for OS (win8 and up) to access and go straight to BIOS from OS

win8.1 and up is faster and leaner then win7. way more efficient.

I personally like the UI better of 8.1 then 10 or 7. I like how start menu is clean and to the point. Not cluttered with shortcuts.

Go with the 4930 over the 3930.  The 4930 is a bit faster, will run a bit cooler, and right now at Newegg is about $130 cheaper.
