I read somewhere earlier today that the 980ti was pushed to 2016, but it seems like we will be on the edge of the next gpu iteration by then, so that doesn't make much sense to me.

Wonder what the next series will be called? 10XX?

Actually it was Q4 2015..If 1080 release Q3 2016, we will still get the 1.5-2.0year between generation

Grab another 780 Ti, you won't have any regrets. Playing the waiting game sucks :)

Beware, 780Ti only 3GB. Will risk not having enough VRam.

There is one for sale in this thread. Save the money for the next BA generation rather than upgrading.

I'm running two 780 Tis at 1440P and love it. Only down fall is the vram, but the waiting game sucks.

I read online the 980 Ti are coming out in Feb next year, did they push back the date? If so, when did this happen?

Edit: never mind, I Google and see this news was release yesterday. Well that sucks but good too. I got my two 780 Ti early this year so now I can get more use out of them.

To answer OP question, yes get a second one for now since the 980 Ti are pushed back till 2016.

So far I'm having no issues on any of the games I'm playing.

Example (any frame skipping is due to recording on the same PC the game is running, planning to pick up a capture card):

Just pick up a second 780 Ti for SLI and you should be set for a while until the 980 Tis come out.

I would get a 6GB Titan if running 1440p, newer games these days are starting to get heavy on vram usage, 4GB is the minimum needed for 1080p in some games already.

thanks for the comment....Yes, I play 1440p (Asus ROG Swift Monitor w/ G-Sync) with settings turn all the way up for the most part. Games like Shadow of Mordor I have to tweek a little since it eats up vram.

Basicly Yes, Titan and 780 are the same chipset so its basicly a 6GB 780 if ya want to look at it that way.
