Attempting to install Win8.1-64 to a Liteon SSD (LCS-256M6S) on an X58 SLI (132-BL-E758-A1). I'm stalling at the prompt for sata/raid drivers. I updated the MB to bios v83 and tried connecting the SSD to both the Intel and Micron ports with no luck. The bios recognizes the SSD on either controller. I'm stuck and feel like I'm missing something obvious here. Any suggestions or smacks on the head?

Thanks,
notami

Is the board set to IDE, SATA, or RAID in the SATA Configuration menu?

All of the ports are set to SATA. I have WD Black 1GB, WD Raptor 300MB, and the Liteon SSD connected.
All of these register in the bios, none show up in the installation dialog. If I allow the boot sequence to complete, it will boot to the old system (Win 7 Ult 64 on a WD Raptor drive in AHCI mode.
Here's some of the things I've tried:
    1. pointing the driver dialog to the files in f6flpy-x64_11.0.0.1032
message reads 'no new drivers where found...'
    2. pointing the driver dialog to the files here: (10.6.0.1002)
    3. Switching from the Intel to the J Micron ports and back.
    Thanks for your reply.

Did you disconnect the other drives before trying to install windows onto the SSD? If not, you must disconnect the other drives first and only have the SSD connected before attempting the install.

To add on to that, make sure you switch the SATA mode to AHCI for the drive.

Sajin, I thought you'd nailed it but no joy. I removed all other drives except the SSD with the same results.
Pointed it to the driver directory on a USB, it selected ICH10R SATA ACHI Controller (iaACHI.inf) which gave the same message, "No new drivers were found please make sure..."
I tried connecting one of the WD Raptor drives with the same result.

    thanks for the suggestions

With the E758 board you should not have to do any of that. All you should need to do is connect the drive to the intel SATA port 0, set the SATA mode to AHCI, and install the OS. You don't need to install any drivers if you're simply installing the OS on a single SSD drive.

From what I understand it's asking him for the drivers before the install will continue.

Right, it shouldn't be doing that.  Has he created an active partition on the drive?

Sajin, you are correct the install disk goes directly to the driver dialog. I've never had any of these issues with previous installations on this board or any other that I can recall.
HeavyHemi, I tried raw drive as well as partitioned and formatted NTFS. I didn't set the partition to active but didn't think that should be an issue, eh?
I'm going to contact support and point them to this thread as well. Perhaps they will have a new perspective.
    Thanks again
