Not sure about the knurled knobs for the thing... it reminds me of well, Fallout 3 stuff.

Photo; Details? I can't find anything yet...

I assume it's similarly styled to the EVGA mouse, even using some of the same parts including the wheel at the head of the mouse.
That would be intentional to keep the keyboard matching to the mouse. I plan on buying them both soon if I get a chance.

Yep, 6th through 8th.  You will probably see some things reported on tomorrow, though I'm not sure what we are showing this year.

Nothing confirmed yet, and the one at CES is just a concept/proof of concept.
We'll have to wait for a formal press release, but it seems the information on the LCD screen will be delivered by an OSD style module for Precision. So you could show GPU temperatures, usage and even frame-rate.

Honestly, I can't wait till I can get one - so the press release will (more than likely) feature a release date once issued.

I dont know but if it's like EVGA's previous CES showings it will probably release in the summer. I got tired of waiting and bought a Corsair K70 which is really nice and even has an EVGA design (red/black) to it.

Cherry Red switches are good choice, most people use them and keyboard not look bad at all.
CORSAIR K70 is attractive because is classic and on first look not look as classic gamers keyboard.
But they destroy completely line of products with tribal logo. I'm not sure what happen with that story...
If I hear good they leave one model without disgusting logo. They design use products as we are all in Asia.
That was IN before 5-7 years some small period not always and everywhere.

Just got to get corsair to give evga rights to cherry mx rgb, and good luck with that. I hope they offer both carbon and non-carbon.

Wish they'd gone RGB on the upcoming peripherals, or at least a red or blue option. The mouse felt great in my hand but no better than the M65 which matches my builds.

kind of hard when corsair holds the right to rgb cherry mechanical keyboard. we were told maybe later, once EVGA convinces Corsair that their keyboards aren't that much of a threat to them.

Logitech has a new keyboard with a new type of switches that are RGB, looks pretty cool but I really want the EVGA keyboard.

Given the red on the X10, I don't mind if I can't change the colors.
So long as when I pay for mine it's the top model and stays that way like the X10 carbon I'm happy.
It's the investment cost, I've never had a really good keyboard or mouse, but I'll be getting both once the keyboard is out :)

The LED features are already compatible with Precision, there's an option to send info to the Keyboard OSD, so it can't be far from being released.

I just hope it comes out soon, the only other keyboard I could possibly interested in would be if instead of a phone holder the new Logitech G910 had the screen like the G19.

Agree, if you want a blackwidow then get one, we don't need more of them.
I got a 2014 edition if you want it, for a price of course lol.

Re: eVGA keyboard? 2015/02/14 00:28:02 (permalink)
Glad to see you guys have made good progress on the keyboard!  I hadn't heard anything more since the tease with the early mock-up prototype, but just saw what you showed at CES and it looks impressive!  Just please make sure you offer key color options in addition to the favorite (mx-red).  mx-red is great for gaming, but can be difficult for typing documents.  I'd hope to see mx-red, mx-brown, & mx-blue as options, that should work for pretty much every kind of user.

And even more importantly, I hope you're integrating user-friendly interface controls for the LED sys monitor?  Logitech has owned that space for years, but they've moved to a android/ios app that interfaces through Logitech hardware on your pc to display sys stats on your mobile device.... except it's very buggy and inconsistent.  Corsair's mech keyboards are top notch, of course, but they lack the integrated monitor display, as does Razer's Chroma.  So, if EVGA presents an elegant solution for the modern enthusiast/gaming keyboard it could really shake things up, at the least it certainly will get noticed.  And then I can finally ditch my 7 year old G15 - I actually do use it to track voltage, temps, fans, cpu/ram & gpu/vram utilization.  I *could* do without it, but it's highlighted an error or prevented a crash enough times that I don't want to give it up or figure out an alternative just because Logitech decided to discontinue the integrated sys monitor on their newest enthusiast/gaming line of keyboards (cost cuts to offset the mechanical & lighting upcosts, no doubt.... they'd been better off just keeping it and charging to cover it, it's not like the gaming/enthusiast demographic suddenly got thrifty and forgot that SPECS are the first thing you check before price is even a though.... if the SPECS are right, they'll find a way to justify paying the price.)

Any hints from Jacob on a release date?
