Ok so my Main system the top one is now sold, now in late January I'll be building a new system for myself and I want something awesome.
 
I will reuse my 1080p monitor, though my plan is in April to buy a 4k display, so keep that in mind. I only know I want a GTX 980 and an i7, but the rest of the parts are kind of up in the air currently, including SSD, HD, Case, ect. OS it taken care of, I didn't sell my Windows 8 Pro with my system so I'm reusing my Windows 8. Give me idea's yall, oh and I will SLI down the road if not right away.

U might have a problem with the Windows 8 !   My understanding of Microsoft's current License for OSs is that a COPY can only be used on 1 computer "period".  That means you cannot move your copy from 1 computer to another. You must purchase a new copy of the OS for the next computer you own. 
The last version of Windows that could be moved from 1 computer to the next (if you had the correct copy, i.e. you purchased a Stand Alone Disk copy).     

some other things that should I suppose be Mentioned. I need 5.1 Analog Audio, I like my 5.1 speakers, and I need room for expanion in storage, and a bluray burner will be a requirement for me. But my long term storage goal is to have at least 3 6tb drives in Raid 5.

Personally, Id skip 4K monitors right now. Get ya a good set of 1440/IPS's. Unless ya need more than 32GB ram, stick to a i5_K and overclock the bird with water. Unless you rendering, I see no point of HT.

I'd go Microcenter and get the CPU there. I got if for $299 plus tax. That will save you some money to put somewhere else! I see you live the DFW area. There is one in Richardson. That's where I got mine.

It was $322 with tax, so you would save over $50. Gas is really cheap up there! Just an idea! I had my cousin take me there when I visited on Thanksgiving. He lives in Lewisville! I can't wait to build mine. Just waiting for a new case. I have everything except that! Good Luck!

Oh I like the setup. Some might prefer one company over the other but to each their own.
Case is badass btw!
If your gonna eventually SLI 980's , Raid 3Tb drives, and Watercool, might want to up the PSU from 750w. But It works with the setup you have now.
 

Your proposed build at PC Part Picker looks good.   If you didn't say 3x HDDs plus SSD, I'd say look at the Define R5, as it fixes a few annoyances with the R4 (which the XL R2 also has), although perhaps the recent release of the R5 means there's an XL R3 coming around the corner..?
 
On the topic of HDDs, WD don't seem to recommend using the Blacks in a RAID setup (they used to, but only as a mirrored pair) - the Red (5400rpm) and Red Pro (7200rpm) seem to be what they're recommending for that (outside of the enterprise Re and Se lines).
 
With the Blu-Ray burner, what are you looking to use it for?  Will you be wanting to burn the triple-layer discs?  The reason I ask is that the ~120GB media is horribly expensive and the 50GB media is expensive, but the 25GB media is quite cheap, and not all devices will burn the ~120GB discs (e.g. the Pioneer BDR-209DBK won't but the 209EBK will) - might be something to check? 
 
If you're looking at an air cooler (you've said air, but looking at water later), the Noctua U12S cooler I have is very quiet, and I've yet to see my 4790K go above 60C with it.  With a pair of Noctua intake fans set to 7V, the fans are quieter than the HDD and GPU ...

If you buy it, you can switch it from PC to PC until you sell it, in which case it becomes like the old OEM licences.  If the manufacturer buys it, it behaves like the old OEM licences, tied to the hardware.

Probably true. (I got the feeling there was some "buy our special (and more expensive) X instead" going on with the RAID recommendations).  A colleague did put 8 of the standard Red drives into an office NAS enclosure, and had one fail the next day, making a permanent grinding noise that was easily audible 10' away(!).  Probably just a borderline drive pushed over the edge, rather than going over the "no more than 5 in a box" recommendation, although that does nag at me a little.

Your going to need more than that evga 750w power supply if you planning on getting a second 980

 
I don't like the low 750w PSU either. I would get at least a 1000w PSU.
